after being viciously mauled, Mackenzie was restless. Demitri was the first at her side. He tore off his shirt to mop up the blood. He dabbed gently, making sure not to make the wound worse. Wolfe crouched beside her, he was unsure if he should touch her or not. She could tell by how he'd fidget with his hands.

"Mackenzie are you ok? I'm so sorry I should have known she'd go crazy like that. I'm so sorry, please forgive me."

Demitri grimaced at his pleas, making Kenzie hold his shirt. He turned away, walking back into the tent. She noticed the gouging scars in his back. Across his shoulders. They blended with the markings. He was an incredibly tall guy, and strong for someone with little muscle tone. She admired him as he exited the tent holding a new shirt.

"Wolfe I'll be fine, nothing I haven't been through." she turned to him, hoping he didn't catch her oodling Demitri. He sat beside them again, taking the shirt from her again.

"Whoa, Wolfe come look at this?" Demitri sounded shocked.

Wolfe stood beside him and she heard his sharp in take of breath.

'what the hell?"

"What? What's wrong?" She couldn't see, panic started to set in.

She felt fingers trail down her neck, under the collar of her jacket. They were following her marks. Something wasn't right. She whirled around.

"What is wrong with me?" She demanded

"Nothing," Wolfe said calmly "It just seemed like...Your marks look like scars now, like the blood from them is the blood pouring out from the collar."

She stared at them both, unsure what to say. All words failed her. How can something like that happen, loosing the color was unheard of. Changing wasn't so different, but the absence was disturbing. It was all because of Wolfe again. He was the source of the ward around her neck. It took away her powers, her defences, and now her markings.

"Take the collar off."

Wolfe looked awestruck at her sudden demand.

"Take it off now before it kills me.....Please."

"I..." He seemed like he didn't know what to do. He wanted to trust her,but then again.

"Please Aciel. I don't want to beg. I won't run away just.... trust me please. I cant make it like this. Like a child. A mortal even. I'm more then that you said so yourself."

"How can I trust you?"

"I'll take a blood oath if I have to."

He stood in silence, considering her offer. Demons had to keep their oaths no matter what. Leading to the phrase "Deal with the devil". They had to stand by the oath until death.

"I vow not to leave your side." She held out her hand for a knife. Demitri looked upset. Like he was going to stop her. Wolfe just slipped his hand into his pocket, throwing her a small pocket nice.

Inside she fell apart. Hurting from the idea that Wolfe refused to trust her and she had to resort to this. She didn't hesitate to slice her wrist, letting her dark red blood drip from the incision. Drop by drop landed on the ground, as she recided the word that she had just said. Stating that She , Mackenize Austin, would not betray nor leave , Aciel Wolfe's, side. As she said it she fought the burning tears in her eyes.

He looked down at her, observing how pitiful she must have looked. Doing anything to save herself. She must have seemed weak, really needing him. Demitri looked outraged, he stood quickly storming off into the woods.

Her cut stillbled as she watched him walk away from her. His shoulders were tense. Wolfe ignored him and suddenly grabbed her wrist. He cupped his hands around it whispering something softly. Light and heat radiated off his hands. When they pulled away, she was healed.
