The Girl with a Red Notice

Chapter 6

It's time for me to leave California today, my flight leaves at noon. My next task is to check if everything on the last-minute checklist has been done. Passport, checked. Tickets, checked. Phone, checked. Luggage, checked. As I walked one last time to my room before leaving to see if I forgot anything, I heard many footsteps down the hall. After the check was done, my room was empty without any hangings or wallpapers of singers and random stuff, the room looked so different from when I used to live in it. My mode is already out.

I saw Mom, Dad, and Mia waiting for me with a weird kind of excited and happy face as I headed down to the living room. I thought that they were happy to see me go. That made my mode even worse.

"Come on honey! Let's go and have our breakfast" Mom calls everyone.

It wasn't like before, the lights in the dining area were on every morning, but now they were off. Something was weird.

"Honey, would you turn on the lights for me please," mom asks. "Sure mom" I replied.

As soon as I turned on the lights, "Surprise!" my friends were there hiding in every corner available. I almost cried out of happiness and joy.

First thing I asked them was, "Who planned this surprise?!" Cassie replied, "Evie your best friend among us"

Following Cassie's response, everyone rushed to give me a group hug. After the group hug, every one of us was busy talking to each other and had some fun time talking. Meanwhile, Mom, Dad, and Mia were preparing breakfast for everyone.

Then, I get to know the reason behind my family's weird looks earlier.

When the breakfast was ready, we all were invited to the dining area by dad. We took our seats and started to have breakfast.

Noah stands up for an announcement. "Hey, guys! I would like to make an announcement here, while all my beloved is present. I proposed my love to a girl yesterday night, and she accepted"

We were all shocked, we had no idea Noah had feelings for someone. Mathew asked shockingly, "Who is that girl dude?!"

We all eagerly waiting for the answer. Then, Ann gets up from her place and goes near Noah, and Noah takes Ann's hands in his and tells, "She is the girl!"

We all were so excited and shocked, everyone started congratulating them and was happy for them. All of us had one question in mind now. "When did Noah start to have feelings for Ann?" Ryan asks Noah with an excited face.

"Since last 3 years," he replied. "I didn't want to wait anymore to tell Ann, because if I told her later, Andrews wouldn't have been with us. So told her yesterday night. "he explains.

The day I left California was supposed to be the worst, but it turned out to be one of the most memorable days of my life.
