I had some nice conversations with family and friends after breakfast. I and my friends are close to everyone's family, that they even knew about all of our crushes. It was time to leave for the airport. To be on the safer side, I'll leave a bit early for the airport. All my friends took leave after an overwhelming bye. I and my family kept all my luggage in the back of the car and we started heading towards the airport.

We all had mixed feelings as we drove to the airport. Happy for the thing that happened in the morning, and sad for me leaving. Mia was sitting next to me holding my hands and leaning on my shoulder.

"Andy, don't you dare to forget to facetime with me every single day!" she ordered me hiding her sadness. "Sure, princess!" I replied. As I reply tears flow from her eyes.

"Don't cry, Mia. You'll be alright without me. I'll come here whenever my college is on vacation. So, I'll come once and you'll come the next time. You should start traveling alone now, since you're growing up. You can call me whenever you feel like talking to me." I advised her.

It took a while to reach the airport. Till then, I connected my phone to the car's Bluetooth and put some of our favorite songs. By the time we reached the airport, it was exactly noon. There were three more hours left for the flight. My family could come in till the check-in area.

After dropping the luggage in the check-in area, I was given my boarding pass. It's time to go, "Bye everyone! See you guys after a few months. Love you all." I said after a huge sigh. One by one they hugged me.

"Bye, honey!" says mom. "Bye, Andrews. Study well dear!" dad said. "Bye Andy! I will miss you so much! Don't forget to call me every day!" says Mia.

I said, "Love you all! Bye!" As I said I took a leave to my gate number. They allotted gate number six for my flight.

I had some much time left with me, so I spent some time in the duty-free area. After spending some time in the duty-free area, I had my lunch at Panda Express.

By the time I finished my lunch, there was an announcement, that check-in had started and they requested the passengers to report to the gate number. As soon as the announcement got over, I took my hand luggage and went to my gate. This flight appears to be full since the waiting area was crowded with many people. After a few minutes, two air hostesses came and opened the boarding, so I went to stand in the queue. I was the fifth person to be in the queue. After boarding, the seat that was given to me was at the other end of the flight, and it was a window seat.

While I was a child, I would pray so much before the flight departs that the plane should not crash or be hijacked. In my fifth-grade year, we were supposed to go to Berlin for our vacation. Mia was a four-year-old child back then, and we saw the movie 'Snakes on Plane' on the first day of our vacation. It scared me so much to go on a flight at that time. Going on a flight now reminds me of my childhood.
