Hello everyone! Pinch, punch, first of the month from yesterday I hope you all had a good January. I think that this story will be finished within the first ten days. Then I might start a new story afterwards. However on the 23rd there will be a one-shot published to celebrate my one year anniversary on Wattpad. We're nearly at 200 reads! Yay! Now, on with the story!
Lux was very pleased to see Ahsoka on Tuesday. He'd worried endlessly all night about her and if she was okay. It wrecked him for the day ahead but Lux reasoned that the safety of his friend- Girlfriend?- warranted that type of behaviour. "Ahsoka!" Lux cheered as they hugged. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Where did you sleep? I'm so sorry." He didn't let go of her until he was made absolutely certain that she was okay.
Ahsoka laughed at his affection and gently pulled him off her. "I'm good Lux, I'm okay. You don't need to be sorry. Mr Skywalker found me outside my Tutor, about to go home and offered to let me come home with him." She explained as she impulsively pulled him into a kiss. It only lasted a few seconds due to lack of oxygen and nearby wolf whistles of their classmates but long enough for the political boy to look utterly stunned.
Barriss came up behind them having heard their conversation, looking uncomfortable. "I don't understand. Mr Skywalker brought you back to his home because you didn't want to go back to your own home... Where you spent the night?" Her voice heightened in pitch towards the end, questioning something in Ahsoka's explanation.
Ahsoka ignored her skepticism and nodded. "Yeah that's right. Me, him and his wife. She's really nice, the woman you saw at the restaurant." She turned to Lux who nodded with a smile, making the connection. "Yeah well she cooked us a lovely stir fry and then we watched a film before going to bed. Padme had some work to do though but it was interesting, she does something to do with silly politics..." Ahsoka laughed as Lux's eyes lit up and he begged her for more information. "I'm sorry Luxy, you know I don't get politics." She grinned as Lux pouted before he pulled her into a kiss again.
Barriss stood to the sides, still frowning. "Okay, well, so long as you are happy..." She mumbled, looking hurt but neither of them noticed. Asajj walked by and looked briefly at the happy couple. Barriss could've sworn that she saw the faint ghost of a smile brush the other girl's lips before noticing Barriss and Asajj's features settling back into a scowl.
Ahsoka remained smiling and laughing whenever she was around her friends. They were helping her through this difficult time and she was very grateful towards them. She also found herself looking forward to Tutor a lot more than she had in the past but Ahsoka knew it wasn't that hard to figure it out.
They'd made good progress on the make-believe town since she had been gone. Kanan and Cal had brought on supplies for everyone to make little models of their buildings before Mr Skywalker used a glue gun to stick them onto a large template he'd spent a lot of time making. Sabine also contributed a bunch of art supplies so that they could make their buildings look cool and unique. It was messy however, especially when some people got ahold of her spray paint cans so Mr Skywalker made sure they didn't use those and laid out newspapers for them to work on.
Ahsoka returned to her lessons as normal and spoke to her classmates as she had before. Despite the accident that had caused her mother's death being on the news, the report hadn't announced her name which pleased Ahsoka with the animosity. She didn't want anyone to know until she was ready to tell them, Ahsoka didn't doubt that there would be people in her year who would never know from her that she was motherless. It was only slightly personal.
Unfortunately, Ahsoka's pleasant day wouldn't last. Mrs Talzen, Miss Tekla and Mr Organa still wanted to govern her life until she had legal carers. Ahsoka knew that they were only doing their job but she wished that they would leave her alone while she was at school. What infuriated her was the knowledge was that they were keeping Hosin in constant updates as to her current life situation. They'd made it very clear that even if Ahsoka didn't want to live with him, Hosin had a very strong legal case to make her come and live with him. Regardless of how anyone felt in the matter. Ahsoka wasn't worried about that though as Yaz wouldn't want her interrupting her perfect life so she would easily be able to convince Hosin not to force Ahsoka to live with them. That would be the only thing Yaz would do for her that she was grateful for, in her eyes, they owed Ahsoka the galaxy fir ripping away her perfect family. That arguement was losing its touch though. She could remember much more clearly than she ever had about the flaws in her parent's relationship.
At the end of the day, Ahsoka waved goodbye to Lux and Barriss before going in search of Mr Skywalker. She hadn't called him Anakin or Skyguy once today, it would raise questions Ahsoka wasn't ready to answer. She entered C5 although she didn't knock and saw him sat at his desk. "Hi Sir." Ahsoka chirped. "How are you?" Anakin grinned as she sat down and propped her legs up on one of the tables.
"I'm good thank you Snips, how's your day been?" He looked up from whatever he was looking at and checked his watch.
Ahsoka thought for a moment. "It's been okay actually, good to see my friends. My lessons were fine, got into slight trouble for nor doing some rubbish computer studies homework but then there was a commotion and Sir forgot to give me a detention. So not a bad day." She smiled at him and waited for Anakin to say something for he kept twitching.
He noticed her frown and tried to fix on a smile. "Don't worry I'm okay... Where are you planning on staying tonight?" Anakin asked her and Ahsoka realised why he was so nervous. It wouldn't do for a couple planning on starting a family to continue if they had an interloper who dropped by from time to time. She also realised however that she didn't want to go back to a home taken over by official workers from support services. Ahsoka wanted to go back to a place that felt like a family home. His home.
"Well, if it's alright with you and Padme, I was hoping to come back with you again." She admitted and held her breath before waiting for a response.
To Ahsoka's surprise, Anakin gave a happy sigh. "Trust me Snips, that's the answer I was hoping for. You're always welcome with us. Now come on, it's getting dark now. I hate autumn and winter, it gets dark so quickly now." He continued to grumble about daylight savings as they packed up. Ahsoka laughed as they made their way towards his car before going home. Their home.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter, the final one before the last flashback. Apologies if this isn't my best work, I am under the weather which is why I didn't update yesterday. I'll update again tomorrow, if I feel well enough. For now though, adiós.
