Well here we are, the penultimate chapter. Wow, that seems to have snuck up on us. I've had a lot of fun writing this story despite not having the entire plot a figured out. I hope you liked this one as much as my trilogy. After I finish this story, I'll probably be on a break until the 23rd when it's my one year anniversary on Wattpad and I'll publish a one-shot to celebrate it. After that, I'll wait to the first of March before starting a new story. That one will probably be a My Little Pony one. Now, on with the story!

Barriss was extremely nervous on Monday morning. She knew that Ahsoka was going to be asked by Mr Skywalker and his wife to be adopted by them. Barriss had no doubts that they would be good parents but the question of whether or not Ahsoka was ready to be accepted into a new family was a different matter. Ashla hadn't died all that long ago and Hosin had only recently tried to get Ahsoka to live with him. She may not be in a happy family mood at the moment. Her nerves were so bad that Barriss didn't even notice Asajj until she crashed into her. "Oh sorry!" She started to help her up before her concern was waved away.

"I don't need your help." Ventress snapped. She looked at Barriss nervously hopping from one foot to the other. "Something on your mind Goo? Ants in your pants? Get an eight instead of a nine on a test? Chip a nail?" She sneered her questions at Barriss but her nerves couldn't cause her to be annoyed.

Instead, she anxiously turned back to the main gate in search of Ahsoka. "Come on, you should be here by now." Barriss whispered to Ahsoka aloud.

Asajj groaned as she looked up from her phone. "That's what's got your knickers in a twist? You've misplaced Pet? Relax, I'm sure she'll turn up. Why don't you try whistling, calling or leaving a treat out?" She started to laugh at her own ideas while Barriss turned to frown at her. "Check by the bins, she may be scavenging for food. Or perhaps she's just waking up, check under a newspaper in an alleyway or something." Asajj continue to laugh while Barriss started to get really angry.

"Why are you so mean to Ahsoka? She's had a real ordeal this weekend and me being a good friend, I want to make sure that she is okay." She turned away from Ventress who had stopped laughing when Barriss started to tell her off.

Tucking her phone into her pocket, Asajj looked Barriss up and down and rolled her eyes. "I assume then that you know what it also means to be a good family member?" Confused, Barriss started to open her mouth before Ventress cut her off again. "I do. I know what it means to be family, a good family. Ahsoka was kind enough to let me get my revenge and then you rewarded her. That was kind of you. However now that she has a family, that takes priority. Therefore, stop being needy, she has other needs now as well. If you truly are a good friend, then you will learn how to take a step back." Asajj stepped away slightly from her and turned to where Steela had entered the school. "Otherwise you'll end up like her. Friendless and regretful." She turned to walk away but Barriss called her back.

"Like you?" It was a genuine question however it made Asajj freeze.

Turning back to Barriss, she sneered. "You've found your Pet, well done." She then stalked away as Barriss turned to see Ahsoka approaching her with a big smile.

"Hey Barriss!" Ahsoka threw herself into a hug with her. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Seriously, your the greatest friend I could ever ask for!" She refused to release Barriss for a while but Barriss wasn't going to complain because she liked hugs, especially from Ahsoka.

Laughing, she grinned at Ahsoka. "No worries, you deserved it. I'm guessing that you said yes then?" Barriss wanted to be sure however the answer was pretty obvious.

Ahsoka nodded with a giddy smile. "Yes, as of today I am officially known as Ahsoka Takka-Skywalker." A frown flashed on her friend's face before she explained. "I wanted to keep a part of my Mother with me and that was her maiden name. Ahsoka Skywalker didn't have quite the same ring to it. Anakin and Padme don't mind, so long as I am happy." Linking arms, the two girls skipped along to the gate where their classmates were entering.

Ahsoka greeted a lot of them as they also greeted her. She felt blessed that pretty much everyone in her year she could call a friend. Sabine, Cal, Kanan, Hera, Riyo, Barriss, Lux to name a few. Maybe even Asajj however that may always hold a question mark over it. Their parent's relationship didn't make them sisters or anything, far from it, however it did cause a bond between them, for better or worse. Lux came bounding through the gate with a smile on his face. "Hola, mi vida, ¿qué tal?" His sudden Spanish surprised her but Ahsoka responded with causal ease.

"Muy bien, gracias, mi amor. ¡Tengo una familia nueva!" Ahsoka expected Lux to look surprised in case he didn't understand however his face lit up with joy for her.

Picking her up abs spinning her around, Lux laughed. "'Soka, I'm so happy for you!" Planting a kiss on her forehead as he lowered her, Lux continued to beam.

Ahsoka returned the gesture. "Well you have Barriss to thank for that. She arranged it, I did wonder if you knew but your surprise seems genuine." Lux nodded as he wrapped his arms around her. "I'm lucky to have such good friends." Ahsoka smiled at them both, pulling Barriss into a hug. "I love you both." The trio smiled as they hugged each other tightly before the bell caused them to release.

"Well we can't be late, I'll see you both soon." Barriss waved them goodbye as they made their way to their Tutor rooms.

Inside C5, controlled chaos had exploded. People were laughing, chatting and running around all very loudly while Anakin simply watched it all occur. He didn't look fazed in the slightest but when Ahsoka entered his face lit up. She waved to him as she sat down beside Sabine who had declared herself her new seat friend. "Hi." She greeted Ahsoka without looking up from her shoe which she was in the middle of making it her new graffiti project.

Ahsoka looked over to admire her artwork. She often envied those who were gifted with an artistic ability in this sense. The way pictures and patterns were created with such skill constantly amazed her. Right now, Sabine's shoe was nearly as colourful as her hair, a bright purple and white gradient. "Wow, that's really cool." She complemented her artwork.

Sabine smiled faintly despite her concentration. "Thanks, Sir has put out town up on the wall. Did you see it?" She gestured up to the wall above the board where a large area of it had been covered. Ahsoka gasped when she saw it.

In the centre was a school, town hall, clothes store, butchers, greengrocers and gym before it spiralled outwardly in a sight spiral; making it look like a proper town. Ahsoka could see all the different aspects everyone had included displayed in the town. Above it were the words 'Skywalker Town' and every building was brightky painted, coloured or decorated. It looked really cool. Ahsoka was filled with an unexplainable warmth that filled her from head to toe at seeing her friends all come together. They were a different type of family, but no less a proper family.

I hope you enjoyed this penultimate chapter, one more to go. I think this rounds off Ahsoka's relationships with her classmates nicely and the next one will round off her familial ones. I'll update the finale tomorrow so bye, bye.
