Anakin couldn't stop laughing at dinner whenever he thought about what occured at home time. Yaz and Hosin had come into the school with Ahsoka's helpers, intent on leaving there with her legally in their care. Instead, Ahsoka had thrown a spanner in their 'completely honest' marriage. Asajj had then come in and torn through every little shame from the start of their relationship until they looked like heartless monsters. While Anakin would never consider a baby to be as terrible as she'd described them to be, he did think the pair crazy for replacing two very smart, kind and passionate daughters. People really don't think about the consequences of their actions. Or maybe they do and do not want to. Anakin will never know.
Padme looked disapprovingly at his behaviour but smiled softly to herself while Ahsoka laughed alongside him. They were both glad that Ahsoka didn't appear to be greatly affected by what had occurred. If anything, it was like a great weight had been lifted off her shoulders and she seemed a lot more carefree and happier than she had been previously. "Ani, it really isn't that funny. Eat your dinner." She scolded him while Anakin continued to chuckle.
He shook his head. "I know, I know. Sorry, it's just so funny to me!" Anakin laughed as he tried to eat more of his food. However his fork shook so much that he had to put it down or else risk a spill. "However Padme you weren't there and you can't tell how funny it was. Ahsoka is laughing as well so I think that I'm allowed to laugh as well." He nudged Ahsoka who laughed back but slightly quieter.
"Padme is right, Skyguy. We should eat our tea." She guided him back to his fork and continued to eat her own dinner.
Padme smiled at her. "Thank you Ahsoka, at least one of you can be responsible in this household." Anakin looked mock-outraged at her statement and acted very wounded while the two women simply grinned.
"And here I thought I was your favourite Snips, how the wound hurts. Well, Obi-wan and Korkie are my favourite now." Anakin declared with a smug grin on his face while Padme shook her head.
Confused however, Ahsoka cocked her head to one side. "Obi-wan and Korkie? Who are they?" The names sounded familiar but she couldn't place where she had heard them before
Anakin looked back at her with an expression that mirrored her confusion before the penny dropped. "Oh, right. You know Obi-wan as Mr Kenobi, Ahsoka. Korkie is his son, but he doesn't talk about him a lot. You'll get to know them soon enough though. Obi-wan is like a brother to me and Korkie like a nephew." He explained to her as Ahsoka understood clearer now. It made sense actually, now that she thought clearly about it.
Padme smiled at her as well. "You'll also probably like Satine a lot too. Like me she's quite political but perhaps a bit more... Impulsive." The couple shared a knowing look and a smile. She turned back to Ahsoka. "Trust me, you'll get along like a house on fire." The trio returned to their tea amiss general conversation before they all retired to bed for the evening.

The weekend rolled around quickly for everyone it seemed. Lux had taken up the hobby of walking Ahsoka to C5 and staying with her until Anakin was ready to leave. This often involved quite a lot of kisses and cuddles but Ahsoka really wasn't about to complain. It made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside whenever Lux got closer to her. Barriss revealed that the surprise she had to run home to that day was something that was ready on her laptop. While Lux and Ahsoka were encouraging about it, they failed to see what the big fuss was about it. Barriss still refused point blank to tell them exactly what was on her computer that prioritised it over them.
When Ahsoka woke up on Saturday, she realised what. As she went downstairs, wearing her pajamas that probably could do with a wash, Ahsoka was greeted with six faces looking at her from the dining table. Anakin, Padme, Obi-wan, Miss Tekla, Mrs Talzen and a man Ahsoka wasn't familiar with. "Hello?" She began as she walked into the room.
Anakin beamed at her. "Hey Snips, how are you?" He radiated a similar energy of that of an overexcited puppy. Practically jumping and bouncing out of his seat and off the walls.
Padme also looked very overjoyed to see her. "Yes, how did you sleep?" She pulled a chair out for Ahsoka to sit on and smiled greatly at her.
Startled by their eagerness, Ahsoka couldn't help but feel a bit unnerved. "Fine thanks, are you guys okay? You're acting weird." She turned to the other people present. "Why are you here? Who are you?" Ahsoka turned to the man who she had yet to introduce herself to.
He cleared his throat and offered her a smile. "My name is Wolffe. Used to be a Commander in the army. Now I am in charge of an adoption centre. You may have heard of it, The Wolf Pack?" Ahsoka shook her head at the ex-soldier, never having heard of any adoption centre of any kind.
Miss Tekla smiled at her, a proper genuine smile that made her look a little like she was going to cry. "He's here Ahsoka because Anakin and Padme wanted to ask you something." She gestured to the very excited but, now Ahsoka could see, very nervous couple.
Padme opened her mouth to ask but Anakin looked like he was going to burst and jumped in front of her. Both in speech and quite literally, jumping up on the table like a madman. "We want to adopt you!" The smile on his face had grown to an unnormal length. Ahsoka thought that a smile like that was actually hurting his face but he didn't seem to care.
His actual question surprised Ahsoka greatly. Sure, she had enjoyed living with the Skywalkers' these last few weeks but was she ready to officially be their daughter? It was a big decision. Ahsoka knew they she honestly didn't have many other options, if any, to choose from. 'Beggars can't be choosers.' She thought to herself as an answer began to form in her mind. Not that Ahsoka considered herself to be a beggar but right now she was pretty desperate for a legal guardian family and Anakin and Padme seemed like her best choice. She also knew that she did love them quite a lot and Ashla would want Ahsoka to be happy and safe.
Noticing her hesitation, Anakin and Padme's faces began to fall as they were worried she would say no. It was sudden and quick but just seemed like the best idea. Anakin couldn't bear the thought of Ahsoka going to live with some new people and he going back to being her Tutor. He'd realised when Hosin came to take her to his that he saw Ahsoka as his daughter. Anakin refused to let her go. Thankfully though, Ahsoka suddenly smiled at them. "Yes, I accept." Anakin nearly fell off the table and would've done if Obi-wan hadn't caught him.
Padme placed a hand in her chest as she her filled with tears. "Do you mean that?" They couldn't believe it, the entire idea had been a long shot.
Ahsoka nodded as she too began to cry before Anakin pulled them all into a hug. "I'M GOING TO BE A FATHER!" He yelled as everyone cheered.
Later, Wolffe handed them the adoption papers they needed to sign. There Ahsoka had learnt that Barriss had printed them off on her laptop and give them to Mr Skywalker for all this to happen. It made Ahsoka wonder if Lux had also known that this would happen. It didn't matter anyway as Ahsoka looked at how happy Anakin and Padme were. She was part of a family again, finally.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter, sorry it is a day late. However there is probably only two more chapters after this. Ahsoka got adopted by Anakin and Padme though. Yay! Happy family times ahead. I will hopefully update again tomorrow. Until then, adiós.
