Adalind had just gotten back from the game. She was getting changed in room leaving and making sure the door was locked. She may or may not still have some trust issues. She went downstairs where Vivan was waiting. She went and plopped down next to her. "So did your mom call,"
"Yeah she's busy." Vivian knew her mom was trying to find her brother and she really did hope she succeeded
Aviana walked into the living room she had noticed somethings that she needed to bring up to her. "Adalind can i talk to you?"
"Sure."
Vivian stood up she was sure that the two needed the room. ."I'm going to get to the kitchen. To get something to eat." She walked out leaving the two.
Aviana went and took a seat on the chair looking over her.
"What do you want?" She really didn't want to have to talk to her right now.
"Did you cut yourself?" Aviana asked. She had noticed a scar when Adalind had been cheering and she knew she needed to talk to her about it.
"What are you talking about " She didn't need them finding out the more they knew the worst it would be she didn't want anyone's pitty.
"Adalind i seen the scar." Aviana watched as Adalind's eyes went wide in shock like she was scared
She started to stutter trying to find the right word. "W-wh-at." She paused as she tried to manage to keep her voice steady. "What scar i don't have one."
"Your lying." She didn't need to be a genius to know that she had a scar.
"Where?" Adalind wanted to know where she saw it so she could give a good explanation.
"You have more than one." Aviana was not that stupid she knew that she was saying because there was more than one,
"No." Adalind shook her head but her voice was betraying her.
"Where do you think i seen it." Aviana challenged this would let her know if she had multiple ones.
"Shoulder." Adalind guessed that was the obvious choice.
Aviana crossed her arms over her chest now she knew something was wrong.,"Wrong it was on your lower back."
"Damn it." She cursed she had finally blown her cover. She had tried so hard to hide them from everyone.
Aviana stood up she had been worried about her since she came and now knowing that she had multiple scars in places she shouldn't be able to reach scared her more. "Adalind how many do you have?"
"I don't have to tell you anything." She hardly talked about it with her best friends.
"I've been trying so hard to be a good stepmom but i just want to help you Adalind." She knew she wasn't her mother she wasn't her parent but she still was worried about her. "I can't unless you let me."
"I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!" Adalind shook her head she refused to talk about it right now.
Vivian walked back in as Lorenzo Justin Xander and Jaylen walked down. They heard the yelling so they wanted to check and see what was going on. "What's going on?"
"Adalind-"
Adalind got she wanted them to try to make this family thing work but she really wasn't interested in it. "Stay out of my personal life. I get it you want us to be a family but i was sure that i made it clear i have no intentions of staying here."
"Where did you get the scar from Adalind?" Adalind knew that she didn't want to be a family but right now she was in charge of her. And even if she didn't want her to she was going to make sure that she was ok.
"I don't want to talk about it please don't make me. Ask what you want you've seen the record you cleared it. Drug possession possession of a weapon, under the influence assault runaway a few times. Possession of a knife possession of a bloody knife counterfeiting drug trafficking contempt of federal agents robbery possession of a firearm and you are worried about a damn scar." That was the one thing she refused to talk about she knew if she did everyone would look at her differently.
"Scar?" Matteo asked.
"Scars plural." Aviana said. She knew Matteo was the doctor in the family this was his type of thing
"What scars?" Matteo asked. Now he wanted to know what they were talking about.
"So far the one on her shoulder and the one on her back. You don't have to tell me anything I'll just take you tot he doctor tomorrow for a full check-up. And she'll tell me everything that i need to know." Aviana was going to make sure that she was ok and if that meant taking her to a doctor she would.
Adalind's breath got caught she knew what the doctors were going to find and she knew it would change everything. "No, you can't do it."
"Yes, i can i am your legal guardian you haven't had one since you started living here." Aviana knew that it would be good for her.
"Did i mention i hate you i hate all of you." She ran upstairs to her room closing and locking the door. She went to her bed grabbing her pillow and screamed into it. She felt the tears cloud her eyes. She couldn't let them see her scars and the bruises that she had. She went and grabbed her duffelbag going to her drawers and throwing a few outfits in and important things that she could fit. She grabbed an all black outfit and a towel off the shelf and started the shower.
