Chapter 4: New Brothers

She woke up a few hours later the house was still quiet she climbed out of her bed grabbing her duffel bag from under her bed. She put it on the bed grabbing her brush and her toothbrush. She got an outfit out making sure any and all bruises were covered. She did not want them to see anything or know about anything that had happened. 

She started looking around for loose boards on the ceiling or floor. She scooted the vanity over and found a loose board she opened it and saw that it was a shallow good hiding spot. She emptied her duffle bag on her bed. Putting the money the gun 2 of her 3 tasers the pocketknife and the small book in it then covered it back up. She covered it back up with the Vanity. She wanted to make sure no one was able to find any of that. 

 She put her mom's old jewelry box on her dresser. She put everything else in the bottom drawer of her dresser.

She stood up looking into her mirror that was behind her door she sighed seeing that none of her marks were visible. She was happy she got everything put up and hidden.  No one would know anything. 

She paused when there was a knock at the door before she heard her brother's voice on the other side. "Adalind you up."

"Yeah just give me a minute." She knew she was about to meet her other brothers and she wasn't sure if she was ready for it.

"You know you have to eat something." Her brother wasn't sure what was going on but he knew that she had something going on and she wasn't going to be able to hide it from the literal heirs of the Mafia.

Justin went downstairs where everyone else was when Aviana looked over to him she knew this was going to be an adjustment for Adalind. "She up?"

"Yeah."

"Wait she who?" Jaylen questioned he could tell they knew something the others didn't.

"Is who up?" Lukas asked looking to his mother he didn't get who else would be in the house. 

"Mom?" Jacob questioned equally confused.

"Seriously what is going on?" Zander asked he knew the older siblings often had secrets that they kept along with Aviana.

"You guys have a sister she is 15." 

"Her birthday is also tomorrow." Justin smirked he knew that was going to be fun for them to find out they had a  younger sister and her birthday coming the next day.

Aviana nodded she had already taken care of that she was going to make sure Adalind enjoyed her 16th birthday. She didn't need any of them to worry about anything but adjusting to this change.  "Yes it is and I already have a plan leave that to me. You guys have to remember I am still the adult and parent. Despite what you all do."

"Yes mam" They all knew better than to argue with their stepmom considering she was usually always right.

Lorenzo knew this was going to be a big adjustment for all of them. Especially knowing Adalind didn't want to be with them. "She would rather be in Juvie than here and Matteo and Justin picked her up and brought her here in the middle of the night."

"Did you just say that she would rather be in Juvie?" Xander wanted to make sure he heard this right their little sister rather be in Juvie than with them.

Lorenzo nodded he knew they had been surprised when they heard that to. "Yes, I did."

They heard a door open and Adalind came down the stairs. She stopped when she saw everyone staring at her. She found it creepy but she understood she was new in the house. "You know that starring is weird right."
