Karan's POV:

Thank God my family understood our situation. It was tough, but eventually they agreed after listening to my story. We spent the whole day at my aunty's place and now on our way home. The last and most important person is yet to know, Pari!

I closed my eyes and rested my head at the back. Suddenly I felt a hand on my lap. I opened my eyes and looked at her beside me.

"Thinking of how to face Pari?"
She asked innocently.

I twitched my lips in a slight smile. I held her hand and took a deep breath. What to tell her?
I just kept quiet and looked out.

She moved her hand out of my hold and I looked back at her strangely. She started taking out all her jewelry even her nuptial chain and as she was about wipe off her vermilion from her forehead with a wet tissue, I held her hand immediately.

"What are you up to?"
I asked a little loudly and confused.

She took a deep breath and spoke.

"We don't have to tell Pari anything now. It's a big news and telling her something so important which might change her life totally is a risk. Sure she is a smart and understanding child, but she's still immature to know that her father just got married to some random girl in one nights time. And now she has to accept her as her mother. It's not possible for her to do something like that.
So.....it's better we not tell her anything for the time period"

She looked into my eyes deeply.

I'm shocked would be an understatement. This girl is so understanding and kindhearted.

"You don't need to worry? I'll manage my daughter"
I said calmly.

"You too don't have to worry, I think even I can manage my daughter!" She said smiling.

Now I couldn't refrain from pulling her into a hug. She accepted Pari even before seeing her. I can't say how I feel right now. The cab stopped and we parted.

We got out and headed towards the lift. Inside the lift I held her hand tightly. She didn't move back and gave me a slight smile.

"We're are in this together!"
She whispered with a small smile.

I nooded my head and we came out and walked to my flat. As I rang the door bell Pooja opened the door.

"Ho sir, finally your back!"
She greeted me smiling.

"Yeah Pooja"
I said to her with relief.

We came inside and she closed the door.

"Shubam sir came in the morning and gave your bags"
She said coming infront.

"Yeah I told him to" I said to her.

She looked at me for a moment and then at Meera. I realized they need to be introduced.

"Ho, Meera this is Pooja. She's Pari's nanny and my house helper. Both me and Pari are dependent on her"
I said being honest.

"Nice to meet you Pooja. You do a tough job"
Meera said smiling at her.

She nooded back simply with a wired expression.

"Pooja, this is my friend Meera she will be staying with us for few days". I told Pooja.

"Why does she have to stay her?
Doesn't she have her own home? We heard a voice, I don't need to look back to see whom it could be.

I closed my eyes and controlled my emotions. I need to handle this matter calmly.

"Pari, baby your not supposed to say like that. She's our guest!"
Pooja went close to her and explained.

"You? aren't you, that rude boys mom?".
Pari looked at Meera and asked.

"Yes it's me! But I'm not his mom. I'm his aunty".
Meera replied causally.

"You both know each other?"
I asked them shockingly.

"Yeah, I met her at the mall that day!" Pari said crossing her arms to her chest.

"You never told me that you've seen her." I asked Meera.

"I actually forgot, but now seeing her again reminded me of that incident".
She said with a sheepish smile.

I nooded accepting her answer.

"Anyway, why are you going to stay her?" Pari asked Meera rudely.

"Pari stop being rude with someone. That's your limit".
I said raising my voice a little.

Meera held my hand and gestured me to cool my mind. I gave her blank look and left a breath.
She took two steps forward.

"Pari actually....I'm new to this city and I have no one. Your dad is my only friend. So he said I could stay in his house for sometime. He even said his daughter is very kind and she will always support people who are in trouble. But, I guess you are not comfortable in me staying here. So I won't bother you"
Meera said looking at her sadly.

She looked at me now and said.
"Karan, thanks for helping me I'll leave now. I don't want to worry you or your daughter"
She said and turned to leave.

"Wait!" Said Pari.

Meera turned and looked at her.

"You can stay here, but with few  conditions" She said seriously.

"And what are the conditions?"
I asked her curiously.

"I'm not sharing my room and even not allowing you to stay alone with my dad. You will have to sleep in the hall. You can keep you stuff in my room and use the washroom there. You will have to make one times meal for everyone and do all the household chores. Agreed?"
She asked putting her hand forward.

Meera went close, bended down and held her tiny hands and said.
"Agreed mam, thank you for being so kind. You are just a little more than what your dad told me"

"Fine, dad I have somethings to discuss with you. Make your friend feel comfortable and come to my room"
She told me and went.

I'm just in awe, she every times proves that she is my blood.

"Karan sir, I'm leaving. I'll come after two days"
Pooja interrupted my thoughts.

"Why, where are you going?"
I asked her puzzled.

"Sir, I had informed you about my cousin sisters wedding"
She said with worried face.

"Ho, yeah. Fine you can leave. But not more than 2 days"
I said strictly.

She nooded and went inside brought her bags and left.

"I'm so sorry for Pari's behavior. I don't know why she's so rude and self consited"
I said not being happy at all.

"I'm not at all feeling bad about anything. I understand her feelings and respect them. Don't worry I'll manage, and things will be better as times passes"
She said with a small smile.

I get lost into this smile. What is it? What does this girl do to me? Why do I feel something I had felt years ago? It's all coming up again, and worst part is, that I'm not able to stop my emotions.

"Dad are you coming or not?"
My daughter again screamed from inside.

"I'll just be back!" I told Meera and walked from there.
