Students around them murmured. Nayeon didn't want other people's attention, so she pulled Dahyun behind the first building.

"I clearly said that you can't just show up here on your own, right? What if someone saw you?" Nayeon started to scold her.

"Why didn't you reply?" The younger girl straightforwardly asked, looking intensely at Nayeon.

"W-well, I wasn't sure what my schedule would be today, so..." Nayeon looked to her side as she replied.

"Oh? I see." The blue-haired girl smirked. "So, do you know your schedule now?" She mischievously asked. "Will you go on a date with me today?"

"Y-yeah. I'm free today." Nayeon hesitatingly answered. Looks like there's no way out in her situation.

"That's great! There's somewhere I'd like to go so, let's go!" Dahyun cheered and immediately grabbed Nayeon's hand and pulled her to the exit.

Nayeon looked up on a certain floor of the second building as she was being pulled by Dahyun.

This is for the best, right, Jeongyeon-ah?

Jeongyeon was riding the train alone. If ever Nayeon came back at the student council office, she still can't help Jeongyeon do the remaining work she had since Jeongyeon wasn't there. All the student council officers took a leave from work since they would prepare for the upcoming Christmas.

Jeongyeon was on her way to meet Dahyun's pal. Her phone chimed and a message appeared on the screen.

"I'll be waiting outside the train station. Tell me what you are wearing. You're coming like you promised, right?"

The place they went to was filled with Christmas decorations. It was packed with people who were busy chatting with each other while eating delicious desserts.

Dahyun happily munched on her chocolate cake and squealed in delight as she put her spoon on her mouth with the food.

"I think it's been a while since I've seen you so happy, Dahyun-ah." Nayeon observed the younger girl smiling at her.

"The cake's delicious, y'know." She responded as she continued to eat her dessert. "Well, that's not the only reason why I'm happy."

"What do you mean?"

"Because I'm with you, Nayeon unnie." She mentally smirked. She knows that Jeongyeon was already meeting her pal outside the train station.

Nayeon smiled. "You know, I was practicing baking caked up until yesterday. So I thought I might be sick of eating them by now."

Dahyun's expression turned down. She looked at Nayeon's plate and noticed that the latter barely touched her food. The younger girl stared at her.

"But don't worry. Since it's your treat, I'll eat it well." Nayeon added and started to munch on her food, hoping that Dahyun won't get disappointed if she didn't eat her cake.

"Oh." Dahyun sighed and looked down. "You were baking the Christmas cake from scratch this year?" She asked.

"Well, yeah. It's hard getting it's fluffy consistency right, but I'm trying my best."

Dahyun took a spoonful of her cake and mumbled, "It was never homemade when I was there," before putting it in her mouth.

Dahyun once attended their Christmas party four years ago, so she knows that Mrs. Im always buys their cake for the celebration. But this time, she was disappointed because not once did Nayeon made an effort like this for their celebration of Christmas.
