12 - babysitter?

Still giving me a lot of question about Alex giving me his number. After he gave it to me, i waited and i saved it to my phone. I dont know why he suddenly gave it to me like it just a cigarette, but at the same time it make me smile inside out, its like we're really gonna be a friends. A tiny problem is sometimes he's giving me a little nervous i dont even know why, like i suddenly feel so nervous whenever im seeing him. My heart beat fast like fucking fast and i know i feel nervous, i somehow manage to ignore that.

After taking a shower i put some clothes. Another day which is another school day, i already feel so tired just hearing the word 'school' like it gave me a bad vibe.

I hurriedly walked downstairs and to my surprise Mom and Kevin are here cause they dont usually having a breakfast every morning when Kevin have a work. Right now its like they are discussing about something.

"Good morning." I greeted them with a confused on my face, "Something going on?"

"Oh yeah, i need to talk to you, Ellie." Mom said, handing me the cereal and milk.

"About what?"I asked looking at her then to Kevin, i knew something is going on, oh God, why I feel so nervous? Did i do something?

"Kevin and i are going to visit his mom today and we won't be home." She said to me.

"What happened?" I asked curiously, bringing the cereal on my mouth.

"She's sick so we won't be home tonight but doesn't mean you're gonna be here by yourself." Mum said, as she got up to put all the plates on the sink and took a seat again.

"What do you mean? Dad's gonna be home?" I asked, if yes then that would be so awesome cause  finally i will gonna have some time with my father.

She shook her head, "No your Dad wont be home either but someone is going to look out for you."

Oh boy, is she gonna hire some babysitter?

"Who?" I asked, feeling a little nervous and hoping its a not a babysitter.

"It's Alex." She remarked.

My eyes flew wide as i felt another nervous. Holy shit did i hear that right? There's no way he's gonna babysit me, i mean that would be so embarrassed, and how am i going to stay on one roof over a night with Alex? I dont think i can survive with that.

"What?" I exclaimed, "No way, Mum, i can take care of myself."

"That last time i check you went on the party and get drunk." Mum fired back, "Alex is gonna be here to look for you, he's the only one i could trust here, plus, i already talk to him and he say yes."

"I dont need babysitter, i promise i wont do anything stupid." I choked out, "Kevin, can you tell my Mom that i dont need Alex to be my babysitter?" I told Kevin.

"I thought you and Alex were close?"Kevin asked raising one eyebrow.

"Ellie, dont be stubborn i already talk to him." Mom said, "I want to be sure you're safe tonight."

I sighed, i guess i have no choice, i just cant believe Alex is gonna stay here tonight. Why he even agree, i thought he's a very busy person and now he suddenly gonna babysit me. That is just so embarrassing, i hate my Mom for this, i knew she just want me to be safe but hiring Alex? I'd rather just to have another babysitter instead Alex.

After breakfast i helped my Mum to put her stuff on the car. I just leave it and didn't complain since i knew nothing is gonna change and i wont change my Mom decision, it just funny that she trust Alex, i mean i think that's a good thing that he trust Alex though.

"Ellie, dont do anything stupid." Mom told me and squeeze my hand.

"I will and tell Aunt Veronica to get well." I said managing a smile, she just nod her head. She then told me anything that i need to do, like cooking my dinner and she also gave me some extra money for my food and just some safety thing like locking the door to avoid any incident.

After that they left.

I took a deep breath and made my way to Alex house, i just need to talk to him that he dont need to babysit me or something cause i knew he's busy person so i think he will say yes.

I knocked on his door and he quickly opened it.

"I know my Mom asked you to babysit me and you dont have to do that." I grinned to him, feeling a little nervous.

Alex chuckled, "Im not actually going to babysit you, i just need to make sure yer not going anywhere and yer safe."

"Well, you dont have to cause i can take care of myself." I said, playing with my fingers.

"I dont wanna break yer Mum's trust." He said, pointing out to me.

I swallowed hard, i dont know how to explain this to him but i hope i could. "You wont, i wont do anything stupid and i think i dont need someone to take care of me though."

"Are you pushing me away?" He smirked.

"Uh..." I mockingly blink three times. "No of course not, it just i dont want you to bother for sort of taking care of me."

"I thought you want to be friends with me?" He raised one eyebrow with a smirk on his face.

"Yeah, well, uh i know you're working and you're busy person." I mumbled, awkwardly rubbing my legs.

"Yeah and yer gonna be in school all day." Alex said, "That i think yer already late now."

When i realised that i still have school, panic flows with my blood. I quickly looked the time on my phone and i already have thirty-minutes. Shit shit shit, i almost forgot.

"Shoot!" I cursed under my breath.

"I guess I'll see you tonight, kid." He smiled and closed his door not letting me to speak again.

Are you kidding me? I just waste my time here and he didn't even agree with me. Now im almost late. I groaned, i really hate this day, i guess im gonna be stuck with Alex tonight.

After school Sandie and Brooke wants me to go some hiking since i told them that my Mom and Kevin wont be home. But i told them that i can't cause i mean obviously that wont happened, i have an eye which is Alex that i dont think he wont let me. I didnt tell  them that Alex is gonna stay with me tonight cause im sure they will gonna make fun of me, so i just went home straight and gladly Alex is not here yet that im sure he still on the studio cause i dont see his car in front of his house.

Falling my body on my bed, i feel sleepy and tired. Not knowing what to do I just decided to take some nap.
