We were running. We were running as fast as we could. I was out of breath but I daren't stop. My chest was aching and I had a stitch in my side, I could tell by the look on her face that Lexi was feeling the same.
We were running straight ahead. We should have turned the corner but I guess we weren't thinking straight. I turned around. It was gaining on us. By the time I turned back around, there was a wall standing about 20 meters ahead of Lexi and me. It appeared from nowhere.
We were cornered. Nowhere to run. No possibility of hiding. We were trapped!
It reached down and clasped my frightened body in its huge hands. All I could think was: 'This is it. You're done for!'
