5 months. 10 months. A year. Time never stopped for anyone. It would contiune to flow, no matter the joys or sorrows of life, it would contiune to flow. Time was fleeting, brief. Time can be ripped away in a matter of seconds; as well as given. In the eyes of a mortal, it may appear to stretch out for an eternity. Yet, a mortal's life is nothing more than a mere second in the time of the universe. A blink, and then they're gone.

A year... a year had passed since the Mizushima Clan, since the destruction of the Leaf, since Machi's death... since Akari's disappearance.

Her friends? They had tried to look for her. Of course they had. If they didn't worry over her who would? Her mother... Eriko... heartbroken and devastated. Her family? Gone, broken, dead. She fell into a state of depression, falling and falling... deeper.. deeper. A pit of despair, slicked walls impossible to climb. She ended her own life on the 6th month.

And what of the Mizushima clan? They returned to the world of ninja, very much alive... and full of rage. Their rampage would not be stopped until many years later... by a familar blond dressed in orange. Strong, unstoppable, just as Akari had written. His dream reached, he was the Hokage.

And what of Squad 7? Sakura? Sasuke? The pinkette grew to become a first class healer, apprentice and successor of Tsunade. A healer with monstrous strength. The Uchiha fell to darkness, its grasp tightening the longer he wallowed in his thirst for revenge. He left the village for Orochimaru. Eventually, he would be brought to light. But not now, not for a while. Thats a different story.

And what of Akari? Her wounds still healing, she left her life behind. Once again... alone, wandering... alone...

She huffed, wheezing as her lungs struggled for every breath. They tightened, her chest constricted, she couldn't... couldn't breathe. Everything hurt. Why did everything hurt? She couldn't remember. The warm liquid surrounding her drowned her, the stench flared in her nostrils.

She shivered. She was so.. so cold. Slipping... eyes closing... senses fading. Fading away. Metal clattered faintly. "Target... eliminated." Water leaking from her eyes. Was this what it was like? To die? It was so... lonely.

"Welcome home... Akari." Bright lights, a family of three, smiling happily. Mother, father, daughter.

"I'm home... Mom.. Dad..." She stood, a single, final, tear rolled from her face. No more blood... no more fear. She was home, with her family. The four hugged, warm smiles on their faces. They were free.

It's almost surreal to me that this book has finally come to an end...

This final chapter is short, much shorter than anything I would ever normally write. But, it just felt right to leave the book off here. To leave the rest up to imagination. I may have lost inspiration for this book.. But I'm so glad I was able to power throuh until the end, and hopefully, make something enjoyable.

I may not like this book very much, but I have heard and seen the opposite from quite a few people, and so I do hope this ending was satisfactory.

Thank you so much for sticking with me over the years, and sharing my journey through my first ever full-length fic.

With much love, I hope to see you guys around for the next project, and may your destiny be kind.
