As we continued down the water, I started to drift off as Kakashi and Tazuna were talking. But I was prodded awake by a disapproving Kakashi. Oh come on, I just wanted a little nap. However my curiosity grew as Tazuna suddenly started talking in a higher pitched, whiny voice. Was he trying to guilt Kakashi into accepting these new dangers? He went on and on about his family and I could see that it was starting to work.

”Stop trying to guilt him into accepting.” I snapped, finally announcing my presence to Tazuna, who seemed to of forgotten I was here as well. “Let’s just drop the lier off and let him fend for himself.” I said with no sympathy whatsoever. Of course I felt bad for the guy, but the way he was going about trying to convince us was unacceptable.

Kakashi hit my head and I groaned. Guess this guy got the best of him to. Darn. I sighed as we were dropped off at the shore. Guess I won’t be home as soon as I thought.

We went on our way, and I started to lag behind in the back once again. Why so fast? Ugh. Naruto suddenly got the idea that Sasuke was trying to show him up, which he probably was, and started throwing kunais at the trees. I sighed, but upon hearing a rustle in the bushes I became more tense and caught up to the others. Turns out it was just a hare. Well, at least Naruto wasn’t throwing knives at nothing. I quickly glanced at Kakashi and realized he had tensed up. Doing a double take, I noticed that the hare was in fact a snow hare, meaning it should be brown. Not white.

”Look out!” I jerked out of my thoughts by Kakashi’s warning and ducked just in time to avoid a giant sword. Great, now what? Someone leaped from the trees, landing on the handle of his sword which had lodged itself in a tree. Kakashi sighed, probably because he couldn’t just let us deal with this opponent. I soon learned this guy was a rouge ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist.

So... Zabuza huh? It seemed like Kakashi knew this guy. But wait... did that Zabuza dude just say Kakashi of the Sharingan? Wasn’t that thing something only a Uchiha could wield? Well, whatever the reason he had it, it wasn’t my problem.

I got into a defensive position around Tazuna, just as Kakashi had said and listened carefully to my surroundings. Relying more on my ears than my eyes as the fog thickened. I could easily clear the fog away with my wind but I doubted Kakashi would want me to interfere. Besides I don’t want to draw that guys attention. If Kakashi was nervous then this guy was bad news.

Although, if I wanted to I could probably outrun him. He didn’t look particularly speedy or anything, especially with that large sword. But then again, I shouldn’t assume based on appearances.

Behind me I heard the sound of someone approaching, however I turned around to late. Zabuza was right in front of Tazuna, declaring it was over. In an instant, Kakashi had stabbed Zabuza with a kunai, however instead of blood, water trickled out. A water clone. The real Zabuza appeared behind Kakashi and swung his sword effortlessly. Another water clone.

”Now it’s over.” Kakashi stood over Zabuza, holding a kunai to his neck. That was to simple, much to simple.
I frowned as I saw Zabuza smirk. Now there were two Zabuzas another water clone. Kakashi was sent flying and I cringed as he hit the water. So much for acting all cool. As he emerged I realized something was wrong, I could tell by the look on his face. Zabuza stood behind, looking triumphant.

”It’s the water prison Jutsu you fool.” He made a hand sign, trapping Kakashi in a ball of water. Could he even breathe in there? “I’ll deal with you later. But first...” He set his gaze on us, calling upon a water clone to ‘exterminate’ us. The other three seemed to panic, however I knew they were trying their best to hold it together. Yawning quite widely, I took a step forward. Earning a shocked glance from Tazuna, I guess I did look pretty relaxed, but I tend to yawn when I’m stressed as well.
