Slowly I registered what had just occurred. Naruto and Haku had been talking (more like arguing) and Sasuke seemed to think he could somehow beat Haku still. Even though he had just gotten his butt kicked. I was to far away to really hear what was going on but I almost groaned in frustration as Haku entered the mirrors once again.

”If one of you attacks from the outside and one from the inside then you may be able to break the mirror!” Kakashi called out, there was a hint of desperation in his tone. Zabuza has him trapped, I knew that. If Kakashi were to leave then Tazuna would most definitely die. Guess it’s up to the Genin. Again.

Naruto and Sasuke were in the perfect position for the counter attack, and I noticed that Sasuke had realized this. Good. Now if he could just get Naruto to-

To late. Naruto, being the idiot he was, had entered the mirror trap, standing next to Sasuke happily. Oblivious to what he had just done. Fine. I’ll do it myself.

Glancing at Tazuna, I made sure he knew my intentions before slipping out of sight. The mist surrounding the island would help quite a lot. Using only my wind, the mist swirled around the bridge. I could hear a few surprised gasps, they probably thought Zabuza was doing this. Oh well, no time to explain.

Once the mist thickened until I could barely see a thing, I casually walked past Kakashi and Zabuza, heading towards the ice. Sharp ears certainly did come in handy, unless your connected to an ear piece with Naruto on the line. Then it wasn’t.

I felt electricity surge through my fingers as I reached the mirrors. The mist was beginning to clear so I needed to hurry. Somehow, I needed to signal either Sasuke or Naruto. But signaling them might result in revealing myself to the enemy. Ugh. Why did everything have to be so difficult!

Oh well. Silently, I placed my electrified hand on one of the mirrors, hearing it sizzle softly. The mist was almost completely gone now, blown away by the breeze. It was only a matter of time before someone noticed.

Pulling away, I shaped the electricity into that of a blade and stabbed the ice. Smirking, as a large crack appeared. I could feel Kakashi’s eyes on me now, he was the first to notice. Props to him. As the crack grew larger, I sighed knowing I was about to have an angry Haku on me.

Sure enough, Haku jerked out of a mirror, his gaze focused on me. “You stay out of this.” He said in a calm, soft voice. I shook my head, hopefully Sasuke or Naruto noticed which mirror I had attacked and would use that to their advantage. Just break the mirror and end the Jutsu. Simple.

“Sorry. Those idiots are my teammates. I’d let you have them if they weren’t.” I shrugged indifferently and crouched lower to the ground, ready to fight if necessary. My statement and readiness to fight seemed to anger Haku as he to tensed slightly as he stared me down. My guess is he was sizing me up, because the stare down lasted only a few moments before he charged at me, senbon in hand.

A small sigh of reluctance escaped me, but nonetheless I met Haku’s speed head on, countering the needle with a kunai. We went on like that for a few moments, clashing with the two weapons and racing at each other with incredible speed. Had he been holding back on Sasuke or something? ‘Cause he seemed a lot faster now.

I once again made a fast block, interrupting my thoughts. That’s something I could dwell on later, when I’m not in the middle of a very intense fight. Taijutsu wasn’t my strongest point, and that’s where this battle seemed to be headed. I needed to change this into a ninjutsu battle, or even genjutsu, if I wanted to broaden my already slim chances of winning.

After we broke away from each other once again I took a few extra leaps back. Forming quick, slightly sloppy hand signs. “Cyclone Style! Lighting Storm Laceration!” The wind picked up, and my eyes narrowed as my hair began to whip around in the strong winds. Sure, I was beginning to get a bit impatient but I wanted to end this here and now.
