Chapter 11

Heya guys! So I know that I made Jooice disappear again, but now pls prepare for a twist. WARNING: Violence and language

Natalie went to her room. She had left the group with a thousand questions, but some of them were probably questions about her past. That, she could not answer. It was too painful to talk about. She sat on her bed and sighed. When she was little, she lost her family. Her mom, her dad, and her brother. It was just her and the wolves. The wolves were her only family now. She looked at the picture of her family on her small table beside her bed. Her father had short, brown hair, and his eyes always sparkled. Her mother had long black hair, and always made her laugh. Her brother took after both of them, same with her, but opposite. While she had long hair like her mother, but brown like her dad, her brother had short, black hair. And she loved him so much. His name was Zack. When he disappeared, her heart broke. Then her mother and father died later in life. This was why she was silent to the group. It hurt her too much. Something caught her eye. It was something about her brother. She picked up the picture, and looked hard at it. "I feel like I just saw him." she thought. As she looked closer, she saw the scar he had on his cheek, when he was trying to shoot an arrow and it went horribly wrong. The man flashed in her head, and she put two and two together. That man was her long-lost brother Zack. The picture fell from her hand and smashed on the floor. Her heart was racing, her head spinning. "No, it can't be." she thought. Suddenly, she sensed something coming. She whipped her head around just as her window smashed and a vine wrapped around her. Zack was here. She was yanked out of her room and saw her brother. His face that was once filled with happiness and joy was now filled with hate and evil. "Zack, what happened to you?" she whispered. "I'm surprised it took you long enough," he said. "Let me and my brother go." she said, her voice trembling. "I don't think so. When I told him you died, his will shattered. He had nothing left to fight for. But when he saw you...I never have fought such fury." he said. "Oh yeah, well you should see my fury when I bust out of these." She threatened. He laughed. "You can't even bring yourself to tell them about your power!" She tensed up. "Laff suspects you, you know. It won't take long before he finds out." he warned. This was the final shove. She took her swords out and slashed the vine, flipping through the air onto the castle roof. She put her swords back and ran. She landed in the courtyard, where the group was figuring out how to get Jooice back. "Natalie? Where'd you..." Socks asked when a vine shot at her throat and began to choke her. Zack was in the courtyard, walking slowly toward her. Laff got up, vines at the ready. He was now pissed at him. Oof shot an ice beam at Zack. Natalie panicked, and teleported out of the courtyard. They appeared in the same place where TBH and Woolfster met the wolves. Oof was there also. "Where? Natalie!" he saw Natalie, still being choked by the vine. He ran over and cut the vine from her neck. She gasped, and started to cough. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." she rasped. "Where are we? I've been here before." oof said, remembering appearing here when he got stabbed by an unknown someone. "This is known as the Void. It's a place separated from the world of life and death. It's where things like Chaos should be, if he could be trapped here." Natalie explained. "You think that you can run from your past, but you can't." Zack said. They turned around and saw him. Oof started to make ice shards, but Natalie stopped him. "What?" he asked. She ignored him. "Zack, I know you're in there. Please, come home." she begged. "Wait, Zack? You know this person? You said you didn't!" oof yelled. "I only found this out a minute ago. He's...he's." She closed her eyes. "He's my brother." oof was stunned. "Enough sappy talk. I just need you dead." He shot two vines at her. She pushed oof out of the way, and leaped on the vines. Oof could not believe his eyes. Who was she? She ran across the vines and flipped behind him. She smirked. "Who's smiling now?" he asked when he shot vines at oof. Her heart froze, torn between her secret with her past, and protecting them from the truth. Oof was about to block when Natalie appeared right in front of him and punched it. It burst into silver vines. "Wait..." oof said. Why did they look so familiar? She looked down at her feet. "It was you!" he finally realized. He remembered the silver streams from the fight at the base. "Okay, it's me, but we have other things to worry about." she said. She shot a silver vine at Zack. He grabbed it. "I don't think soooGAH!" he started to say when she tugged on the vine and he shot toward her. When he was within arm's reach, she grabbed him, and they ended up back in the courtyard. "There you are oof!" Laff said. "Where's Natalie? I need to ask about a hundred questions." he said irritatedly. "Huh?" Nadwe asked. "She's the one with the silver streams." oof said. "What?!" Socks said. "And she kept it from you all this time." Zack said. Woolfster made a line of dark sabers. "Wait! That's her brother." oof said. "Her brother? She has a brother?" Blaza asked. Suddenly, something flashed in front of Zack, and seemed to be hitting him. Natalie appeared, and shoved a silver sword into his heart. He gasped. Natalie was panting, tears going down her face. The group was quiet. Suddenly, black poured out of his heart, and his black skin changed to a dark tan, much different from Natalie, who had pale skin. Zack fell into Natalie's arms. She dragged him away from the black that now laid in a puddle. "Zack, please wake up." Natalie whispered. Zack didn't move. Then his eyes fluttered open. "Nat?" he whispered. "Oh Zack." she said. He sat up, and looked her dead in the eye. "Is it actually you?" he asked. "It's me." she said. Zack stared at her for a second, then pulled her into a hug. "I thought you were dead," he said. "Same." she said. "Natalie, if you have the time." Socks asked slowly. Her face turned bright red. "Um..." "Wait, did you?" Zack asked. "Yeah I did. But he had their friend." Natalie said. "Jooice, right?" he asked softly. She nodded. He sighed. "I saw him. He's weak. I have no idea how he's still alive. But if he tries to do it again, it will shatter his conscience. He won't come back." Natalie gasped. "What will happen to Jooice? And who is your brother?" Laff asked. "Okay, okay. I'll tell you everything I know." she sighed. "It started when two of the Tueres fell in love. They ended up marrying each other. Then they had a son. Zack. Then they had me. When you are a Tuere, you get the starting level of power. Bronze. I'm silver, the next level after bronze." A silver vine popped out from behind her, and she grabbed it. "It's a very powerful ability. As you practice more, you sort of 'level up' in power. After silver is gold, and that's when you can receive the ability to watch a world. The final one is platinum. But only the leaders have reached platinum. Because we were born from Tueres, we were naturally gifted with this power, and we're much stronger than usual. As Protectors, we couldn't interfere with the people of the actual world. But now, with your friend being infested by Chaos...I had no choice." Natalie sighed. "Hey, it's not your fault. Chaos is the one behind this." Zack said. Natalie and Zack just sat there. "What happened to your parents?" TBH asked. Natalie tensed. She hadn't told Zack. "Yeah, where's Mom and Dad?" Zack asked. Tears filled her eyes. "Four years after you disappeared, I was looking for Mom and Dad, when I felt them...they're gone." Natalie whispered. Zack gasped. "Oh my God..." Laff said. He had suspected she was hiding something, but he didn't realize how painful it was. Zack sensed something. Something was coming at his sister. He grabbed her, and spun her around as a black arrow hit his heart. "NO!" she shrieked. He groaned as the black seeped into him. "Zack, what were you thinking?!" Natalie panicked. "Nat, listen. He used the tiniest bit of Jooice's mental energy when he and Socks were fighting to see the future. I saw what he saw, and it has to do with Socks." he whispered to her so only she could hear. "Socks? What about him?" Natalie asked. "He saw him kill him, and he doesn't want that. I don't know where and when and how, but he will do anything in his power to kill him. Take these." He pulled a book and a small box from his pockets. "The box is for you," he said. Darkness seeped into his skin. "Listen, I will come back, but remember what I said about Socks. He needs to prepare." Zack said. "No!" she said. Zack disappeared, and was replaced with the same evil man from before. He blasted them all away, trapping the four so they couldn't have an advantage. "You think that you can simply push me out and think I won't go back in. Think again." He walked over to Natalie. Socks tried to get up, but vines appeared around him, making him hit his jaw on the ground. He spat out the blood that filled his mouth. Zack was now over her. She didn't seem to notice him. "Nighty-night." he said. He pulled out his sword and slashed it down onto her. Her hand shot up and stopped the sword from hitting her. Zack froze. "I am going to find you Chaos, and when I do, I will make your life hell." She said slowly. When she looked up at him, her eyes blazed a gold so bright, it burned his eyes. She ripped the sword out of her hand. Zack backed up. "Natalie?" Meme asked. She didn't hear him, her heart filled with too much grief. She shot not a silver beam, but a golden beam at him. Zack jumped out of the way. "Natalie, calm down!" Woolfster said. Tears fell from her face. She shot a golden beam at the group, and it burst into tiny beams that broke the vines. Laff immediately summoned a green vine and shot it at Zack's hand. TBH and Woolfster shot vines at his feet, and oof grabbed his other hand. He struggled to break free, but he was held tight. "You will pay for taking my brother." Natalie said, her voice quivering. Zack had no idea what to do. He realized he couldn't fight, so he made a portal and fell into it. The bonds that held him broke, and Zack was gone. Natalie fell to her knees, not saying a thing. "Socks, you good?" Muffin asked. "Yeah, I just have a sore jaw now. It's still bleeding." he said. "Natalie?" Meme asked. Tears fell from her face. "AHG!" she yelled, and hit her fist on the island, and it was strong enough to make some of them stumble. "Natalie, take a deep breath." Laff said. She got quiet for a while. "He's all I got left. I can't lose him." she whispered. "I know. But I need you to tell us what to do now. We know more about what is going on, but we need to know if we need anything else for it." Socks said. "Zack told me that Chaos used the tiniest bit of his true power to see the future. And he said that he saw you." Natalie said, looking at Socks. "Me? Why me?" Socks asked bewildered. "I don't know." Natalie lied. She didn't want to put more pressure on him. "He didn't have time to tell me." Natalie said. Socks was now wondering why he was in the future in his vision. What was he doing? "Listen, there is something we can do." Natalie said, hoping to stop any ideas that were in Socks head. "What is that?" Blaza asked. "It's obvious that we also receive abilities too, right?" Socks said. Natalie nodded. "Then how do we get them?" Nadwe asked. "The best part is to train. Practice sword fighting, hand-to-hand combat, all that stuff." Natalie said. "And it could happen at any time, right?" TBVG said. "Yep." Natalie said. "But why us?" Meme asked, and a heavy silence hung in the air. Natalie sighed. "Honestly, I don't know why. Chaos chose this world for a reason. He never picks a random world, unless absolutely necessary. I've never seen power host roam around till now." "Wait, a power host?" oompa asked. "What do you think the weird things were? Because the actual ability had no one to use it, it makes its own form, like a human, but still shows the trait of its power." Natalie explained. "But what about us that already have abilities?" TBH asked. "Practice using your ability. Once you use it more, you get to understand it more and know how to use it." Natalie said. "Natalie!" The green wolf appeared out of nowhere. "Angel, what is it?" Natalie asked the wolf. "The power hosts have stirred, they're more active than ever!" Angel said, nodding her head to the group. "The time has come." Natalie said to herself. "What do we have to do?" Socks asked. "Train. And that begins today." Natalie said.

YES THE EVIL MAN IS HER LONG LOST BROTHER ZACK!!! And he's gone. Again. And now Natalie is pissed so ya know. Now next chapter will be a bit better the the past few have been. See ya!
