Morning came fast, and we all gathered in the cafeteria for breakfast. I woke up later than the others, considering the boys had to do morning runs before they ate.

"Good morning, guys." I carried myself over to the Karasuno table with my food. Sawamura and Sugawara hopped to the side to make some space for me. "How has everyone slept?" The steel underneath my bum was cold against the exposed skin. "Good." We ate while Hinata told us about his dream, which apparently was amazing.

As I tried to pull my shorts down, I noticed Sawamura's thigh beside mine. His skin caressed mine as we sat. My eyes carefully moved up to his face, but he didn't look affected. In the depth of my mind, a small idea arose. I tried shaking it away but realized there was no reason for me not to do it.

Across the table, I saw Hitoka playing with a hair tie that moved back and forth between her fingers. I stood up as much as I could but help myself by placing my hand on Sawamura's thigh to stand from underneath the table, feeling it tense. My hand reached for the tie and stole it from her before I sat back down.

"Sorry about that." His face slowly warmed a bit but soon returned to a smile. "It's okay."

I was happy with my approach, and I had already come up with another plan for later. My hand tingled from the memory of his skin under my fingers. I felt the muscle he flexed as I touched him, making me want to feel more.

It was time for the first practice, and we were already heading towards the gym. My skin felt a little chilled from the amount of skin I left in the open. I wore shorts and a sports top, revealing my arms. It felt better to be able to move freely, and I had a habit of sitting in weird positions.

It didn't take long until the gym was filled with bouncing balls and high voices. Boys ran in every direction, making squeaks from their shoes. I studied their movements, trying to get what was happening. Their actions went faster than I had expected, and I had to always keep my eyes on the ball to catch the next movement.

Coach Ukai blew the whistle as the last ball fell to the ground. They immediately came over to the side, drenched in sweat. I grabbed a towel and stood up to meet them. "Good job. I'm impressed." I threw the towel in Sawamura's direction as I saw he gazed my way. "Thanks." He breathed heavily as his hand worked the fabric over his forehead.

Ukai stated a few tips as they sat on the ground resting. My energy level was boosted after watching them. To only be a practice amongst themselves, they were giving it their all. Sawamura was sitting on the ground, sipping on his water bottle. I walked up behind him and grabbed his towel to rub his head. "I look forward to watching you in a real game when you're like this at practice." He glanced up from under my hands, resembling a curious child.

"I don't think I'm that great." The strong fingers slid through the dark locks at the back of his head.

"Are you kidding? You're awesome." I removed my hands from his head to let him stand up. As he did, I had already forgotten how tall he was beside me.

"You're praising me too much." His strong jaw fell slightly, making space for a smile to form. He was mature, and I liked that he didn't avoid my small touches, but it also made it harder for me not to do it more often.

Sawamura was about to go back to court before I stopped him, "Daichi!"

The white in his eyes surrounded the deep brown orbs.

"Is it okay for me to call you that?" I leant forward with my hands behind my back, looking as innocent as I could. He answered with a nod and continued his way. If my eyes didn't deceive me, the tips of his ears were a little darker than normal.
