The whistle drew me out of my daydream, and I put the poster back into my bag as the team approached. "Nice job today guys!" Another practice ends, and I waited for Daichi. I left the car at home, needing the fresh air this morning. It was refreshing for a change, and it helped me wake up.

"Let's go." Daichi strolled alongside me down the dark street. The only light around us came from the moon. If I had walked alone, I would probably feel a little scared, but with the strong captain by my side, I was in the safest space I could be.

It felt like burning sensation rested on my cheek. My orbs rested on Daichi, and I caught him looking at me. It didn't feel like the type of glance I gave him earlier, and when I saw him do it again, it confirmed my suspicion. "Is there anything you'd like to ask?"

Daichi's eyes widened as he once again looked at me. "It was hard not to notice your stares."

He caught before answering. "I saw you looking at that poster earlier." His brown orbs turned forward, "Are you thinking of joining the swim team?" The streets in front of us became lighter as we turned into a neighborhood.

"I don't know. I grabbed it without thinking."

Our silence continued. It was true. I didn't think of anything when I stole the poster from the wall. And whether if it was because I wanted to or missed it, was unsure. His house came into view, and weirdly enough, I began to look forward seeing his mother again. Daichi gazed back at me.

"If you're thinking about not joining because of the team, please don't. We'll see you during the day either way." He was so sweet. It didn't feel like that was the reason, but either way, I was glad he wanted to reassure me.

"I know."

Daichi opened the front door and announced us like he did the day before. And as yesterday, footsteps came sprinting.

"You came back!" Her small figure jumped onto me before I got to remove my shoes, and Daichi pinched the bridge of his nose. "Does that mean your dating now?" He grabbed his mother's arm and pulled her away from me. "Stop it! You're making her uncomfortable!"

"You sure its her I'm making uncomfortable, or you?"

This time a couple of heads appeared behind them. "And who might you be?" After removing my shoes, I bent down slightly to smile at the smaller kids. "This is my younger siblings." Daichi's mother had returned to the living room, and the ones left was four smaller shadows lurking behind the captain. "Hi, I'm y/n."

They looked a little skeptical as I held my hand forward, but after some time one of them grabbed it and gave it a little shake. "Hi."

There was two girls and two boys, and they all looked close in age. I guess they had to be only a year apart. "Okay, let's go study." A gasp escaped me as Daichi was the one to grab my hand and drag me after him upstairs. I was used to being the one touching him, but I liked this change.

"They were all away in club activities yesterday." I only nodded as I still tried to compose myself. We sat down in the same place as yesterday and took out our textbooks. My mood always dropped whenever it came to mathematics, yet Daichi held his smile through it all.

"Finally done!" I rose to my feet and let myself fall back on his bed. As my back hit the soft material, I let out a sight. It became unusually quiet in the bedroom, and I placed my hands underneath me to see what Daichi was doing.

His face was completely red, and I swear I could see smoke coming out of his ears. "Wha.. what?!" He fell backwards and had to steady himself on his hand while he shook the other one in front of him. "Its nothing!"

"Then why are you so red?!"

"I'm not!"

"I don't have to be on your bed if it makes you uncomfortable!" I hurriedly stood up feeling my head heat up. "No, its okay!"

"Clearly its no.. aah!" While I tried to hurry away from his bed, my feet got caught on the strap of my bag, and I stumbled towards the already embarrassed boy on the floor.
