I watched them intensely as the ball went back and forth. Daichi was in full concentration as he ran back and forth catching the ball, and even when they missed, he encouraged the team. The team they were practicing against was one of the teams from the camp. They had red shirts and a lot of good players.

I didn't play the sport and therefore didn't know much, but I could see that they all had different strong sides and played well. My mind wondered to the future. Who would continue playing the sport? It was weird to think about any off them in another field, but it wasn't uncommon to still be in a club as they studied.

The last whistle blew, and Karasuno had lost. I walked down to them and to my surprise they didn't look upset. They were talking with the other team and the coach said something before they started cleaning up.

Daichi turned as he heard my footsteps and gave me a short smile. "I'm sorry we lost when you came to watch." I slapped his shoulder a little harder than usual and crossed my arms. "Stop apologizing. You did your best and were amazing. Only when you lose you can figure out what to work on to get better." His mouth hung slightly open, and he laughed.

"You sure are something."

We decided to study even though it started to get a little late. Neither of us wanted to admit to the other that we wanted to spend time together, so instead we used next weeks test as an excuse.

"Um, you know." Daichi started but stopped before he finished.

"What?"

"I was just thinking. It's getting late and, um, well. Mom has been nagging about you sleeping over." I looked over at him curiously to where this was going. "So, I was kind off thinking that since tomorrow is Saturday, that you maybe wanted to, sleep over?" He whispered the last part with his mouth buried in his jacket.

"Sorry, what was that?" We stopped walking and I watched as his cheeks burned from inside the jacket. "I asked if you wanted to sleep over." He said it a little louder now, and I smirked at him.

"You want me to sleep at your place?" I strolled over to him and placed my hands on his waist as I gazed up on his already embarrassed expression. He mumbled a yes and I laughed.

"Well since you asked so nicely, sure."

He kept his face pressed down the way over to my apartment and he waited downstairs as I went to get my things. "Mom?" I took of my shoes before walking into the living room. "Hi sweetie, how was the game?"

"Great, but I wanted to ask you something." She looked up from her computer to look at me, "Okay, what is it?" I put my bag down and fiddled with my fingers.

"Well, I wanted to ask if you were okay with me sleeping over at Daichi's place tonight." She was about to answer as my little sister ran out from the bathroom.

"What?!" She threw her towel at me, and it smacked me right in my face.

"I thought you were only friends!" She huffed as she fanatically jumped around me. "Sure you can hun."

"MOM!" Hitoka was shocked at moms answer and not the least pleased. "How can you let her do that?! What if they, you know!" Mom sighted and turned her attention back to her work. "Y/n is old enough to make her own choices." Hitoka went pale and I could see her soul leave her body. I knew she was scared that things wouldn't work out between me and Daichi and then she had to be awkward throughout every practice, but we didn't know that until we tried.

"Oh, but remember protection." I stopped on my way to my room. Now it was my turn to become red. "Mom! I didn't say we were going to have sex!" Hitoka came back to life and yelled at me, "Don't say that word!"

After a little more discussion, or rather yelling back and forth, I hurried to pack a small bag and say goodbye before I went out to Daichi. He moved his gaze from the ground over to me as he heard me come out. "Ready?" I nodded and we started our way over to him.
