The air began to get colder, so we hurried over to his house. Daichi was visibly embarrassed as he gazed at the bag over my shoulder. The thought of me staying over was probably melting his mind. "Are you okay? You look nervous." I grinned while watching his reaction. He caught a little and rubbed his scalp, "Of course I'm okay. I'm just hungry." I accepted his answer but kept an eye on him.

As we walked through the door Daichi's mom came rushing around the corner. "Y/n dear!" She captured me in a big hug and wayed me back and forth before letting go. I barely got time to remove my shoes as she dragged me with her to the dining table to serve some dinner. We all sat down and conversed comfortably, but I couldn't help but send Daichi a couple of smirks as we ate. His mother was more excited for me to stay over than him, which made him even more stressed.

Daichi was usually a calm and composed person, but whenever he got embarrassed or nervous all that flew out the window. But I liked this side of him, it made me feel like I was composed for once.

"Now my sweethearts, I'll leave you two be." She wiped off the table and hung her apron on the wall before searching her purse.

"Are you going somewhere?" Daichi asked as he pulled out some snacks from a cabinet.

"I'm staying the night at a friend's house to give you two some space." She slung the purse over her shoulder after hurriedly taking on her coat. I stood up from the couch and walked over to her.

"We don't mean to throw you out." She huffed at my comment and waved her hand, "What nonsense! You two have fun now!" Her tiny figure was out the door before any of us could protest.

"I guess we're by ourselves then." Daichi shrugged as he placed down some bowls with chips. "My siblings are all out too."

I scrolled on my phone as he fixed, but the skirt began to annoy me. "I'll just go change to something comfy, be right back!"

Once in his bedroom which I assumed id stay in, I threw the bag by the end of his bed and found some sweatpants and a singlet. After changing I placed it on the floor where it wasn't in the way and walked back downstairs.

Daichi heard my steps and had changed into something as well when I was gone and wondered what I wanted to do. We decided to watch a movie, so we spent some time picking one we both agreed on. I reached for a blanket as I was easily cold, but always underdressed when I was at home. Daichi leant forward to help me reach the blanket around him and once that was done, we were both securely wrapped in.
