Chapter 13

I woke up to Shelly biting my nose and making sounds. That told me that she was hungry. I went to get up, but I was held down by an arm that belonged to Donna. I was laying on my back and Donna was next to me sleeping soundly. I'm pretty sure Donna was on her side of the bed, so I wonder why she decided to snuggle into me.

I moved Donna's arm without waking her up and I took Shelly to the kitchen. I got a bowl and went to the fridge got some leftover cooked chicken that was in the fridge, and I gave it Shelly. Shelly was eating the chicken and she was as happy as she can be. 

"Goooooood Moring!" Angie said zooming out of a room.

"Oh, good morning, Angie. I didn't know you were awake. I've always thought that you and Donna were one in the same. Or maybe I'm not understanding what you two actually do."

"Donna will know what I do when she wakes up and I do have a mind of my own. Sometimes Donna doesn't let me know things and I end up find it out later so it's a back-and-forth thing." Angie said petting Shelly.

"That is really interesting that that's how you two work like that. You two are like an odd couple."

Angie giggled at my words.

"So, I'm guessing that you were the one who took care of Shelly?"

"Yep, I sure did." Angie said proudly.

"Thank you, Angie, I really do appreciate it. Since you did such a good job of taking care of her, I'll let you take care of her when I go back to work."

"Really!?" Angie said surprised.

"Yes really."

Angie squealed and started to jump up and down. I didn't realize that Angie really liked Shelly, but I then thought back to how when I first met Angie and she looked fascinated with Shelly.

"I'm going to guess that you have always wanted a pet but never got one?"

Angie simply nodded. Yeah, I thought so. Angie turned to the left and I did as well because both Angie and I heard footsteps and a yawn. Donna walked into view and stopped walking and looked at Angie and me.

"Hello sunshine! Nice to see you awake after you snuggled into me earlier."

Donna had a blush on her face.

"I didn't do anything of the sorts." Donna said crossing her arms.

"HAHAHA! RIGHT! You so did I saw it when I put Shelly on Y/n while she was sleeping! You totally did snuggle into Y/n!" Angie said with so much joy in her voice.

I let out a little giggle and I grabbed Angie and started spinning around in the kitchen. 

"Hush now. Let's not go any further with that. It's okay if Donna doesn't think that she did snuggle with me. You and I know the truth of what happened so that's all that matters."

Angie looked up at me and giggled and I stopped spinning and sat Angie down. Donna walked past me and got a drink of water. Shelly hopped off the table and dashed off and Angie followed her. Donna seemed very irritated about something.

"Did I do that?" Donna suddenly said.

"I'm sorry? Do what?"

"Did I actually snuggle you earlier?" Donna asked.

"Yes, yes you did. I'm not upset about it and I'm more happy than anything."

"Huh? why?" Donna asked turning to me.

I leaned on the table and crossed my arms. 

"I'm happy about that because that means that you trust me enough to get comfortable to do that. That's why."

Donna was silent and deep in thought about something. I wasn't lying either. Donna took another sip of water and cleared her throat.

"So, what are your plans today?" Donna asked.

"Nothing as far as I know. Unless someone decided not to tell me that I needed to do something today."

"That's fair." Donna said. 

Donna looked like she was holding back something.

"Um..." Donna mumbled.

"Are you okay? Trying to figure out how to word something?"

"No but would you like to walk around the village with me?" Donna asked.

That took me by surprise.

"I'd be more than happy to go on a walk with you!"

I was going to guess that this was her way of asking me on a date. Donna looked at me and smiled and this woman dashed herself upstairs. I didn't know she could move that fast. I also decided to get myself dressed and around for our little date walk we were going to have. I do wonder what got into Donna for her to want to do something like this. She is definitely a mysterious woman.

I got dressed and Angie came flying down the stairs all happy to go out. Donna followed Angie down wearing her normal attire.

"Well, don't you just look lovely in all black."

Angie laughed and went into Donna's arms.

"Thanks." Was all Donna said.

Yep, defiantly a mysterious woman and that just makes me want to know more about her.
