**Oz POV
I was walking around the peds department with Nicole, making rounds as we made sure all our patients were okay."So...that unit you've been with..." Nicole started off in a teasing way.
I rolled my eyes, "Nicole, I can't tell you about it since you're not in it. So unless Director Lee let's you in, sorry. I can't."
Nicole stopped me, "Hey, I'm just curious. No need to be rude about it. What is this super secret department you're working on. And who is that girl on that phone, because she sounded..."
"Not ready for a relationship. Trust me, her last boyfriend is...complicated."
She looked disappointed, "Damn it, she's straight, isn't she?"
"Yeah."
"That means you have a shot, when was the last time you had a date? Med school?"
God, save me.
Suddenly, I ran into someone and we both fell to the ground along with all the papers she was carrying along with her.
"Damn it, Oz!? Seriously, you're so clumsy." Nicole said, picking up the papers off the floor.
"I know. Tell me about it." I heard.
I looked up, and saw it was Bex.
Seriously!?!
"Sorry, I was...distracted by my friend." I told her, helping her up as Nicole picked up the last bits of papers.
Bex rolled her eyes, "Right. You would trip over your own feet, I know you too well at this point."
"Hi, I'm the friend that distracted him. Nicole."
Bex shook the nurse's hand, "Bex. I work in Radiology and with Oz sometimes."
Nicole's eyes widened, "Work together? In the super secret unit or..."
"NICOLE!" I cried out, my face warming up.
She just rolled her eyes as Bex looked around awkwardly, the sound of Christmas music audible as we were all silent now.
You could cut the tension with a knife.
"Um, in the unit we work together, we're just friends." Bex assured Nicole, finally breaking the silence and awkwardness.
Nicole clearly didn't seem convinced but made a clicking noise with her tongue, "Uh huh, sure."
The three of us kept walking, until we saw a mom and her son, who was on crutches due to his broken leg in a cast.
"Dr.Blue! Ms.Nicole!" The mom, Lana, stated, smiling as she saw us walking up and her son was still not happy about it.
Her son, Terrell, just rolled his eyes at us.
The attitude of this kid was awful.
I smiled at his mom, "Mrs. Thornton, how's Terrell's leg?"
"Getting better everyday, just came for his check up." She told us.
"Mom, I want to go home. I know my cast doesn't come off until next month. Why do we have to be here?" Terrell demanded.
Bex looked at him with a frown and then looked at me, "Hello, I'm Dr. Waters, I do the x-rays. You have to be here to check if your leg is healing correctly."
He didn't really care and that was pretty normal for when he first came in and then was transferred to a specialist within the hospital to check his leg.
The dumb kid broke it by falling down a hill during recess at school.
"See, I told you, Terrell!" His mother hissed at him.
