So I honestly kind of forgot I had so many people that read this fic here. I don't usually use this app anymore but I came on today and realized that there were a lot of comments asking where I was and if I was okay so I wanted to clear the air so people aren't worried.
First thing, yes I am okay. Nothing bad happened to me I promise. I've actually been pretty great! The reason there's practically been radio silence here is that I post on AO3 now. I've got much more nice Saiou content over there. Same user as here, bcschauer, if you wanna check out my other stuff.
Second, Who We Were Before is not abandoned. I have no intentions of leaving it unfinished. The main reason it hasn't been updated (other than me focusing a lot on oneshots and just generally not having much time in general because I'm now in college), is because my writing style has evolved so much over the last year that I've decided to completely rewrite this fic and make it even better than it was originally. If all goes well, the rewrite will be launched in the next month or 2.
All this to say, I'm okay, this fic is not abandoned, and I'm still undecided as to whether or not I will continue to update on Wattpad, or just stick strictly to AO3. Regardless of my decision, I will most likely make another update chapter when that time comes.
Thank you guys for all your concerns. This really is something I should have done a lot sooner. For some reason more and more people seem to stumble across my account every day, and I can imagine it's a bit concerning to see an author disappear from an app for nearly a year without a trace. I hope to return with good news regarding Who We Were Before soon.
