AJ was shocked as well as happy to see us here at home when he came from work. I didn’t tell him anything. I just told that Ryan was crying continuously not to see him. I hate lying especially to AJ, but what to do when it comes to your parents. I just can’t tell their great ideas to their son-in-law. I don’t want to reduced whatever respect he has towards them. What I did today was important to realise their mistake. They were going to do the same mistake again. Forcing and manipulating things according to their wills. Last time Nikhil left home and this time I don’t know what he will do. I want them to stay together. Happily. When I said happily, I want them to stay as a happy family. Mom, Dad, Nikhil and now Vani.

They also wish the same. But the difference between me and them is I want it to happen naturally and they want to happen it forcefully and if nothing goes right, they stoop down and start their emotional blackmail.
As a parent, they think they can do anything to their child because they gave birth and raised them up since they were child. But they forget to ask what their child wants, their desires. I’m a mother too, I don’t know how good mother I can be but I won’t force him to a extent that he would left me to live my life alone.

Thinking all the possibilities I called Nikhil.

“I was about to call you.” He never greets me and it annoys me. He knows that. Anyways I have my ways to annoy him more than he thinks to annoy me. Afterall I’m his big sister.

“Well, hello to you lil bro.” Nikhil 1, Naina 1. Now we’re on same page.

“Di! I’m a married man now. But you won’t stop calling me lil bro. Leave that how’re you, AJ bro and my munchkin?”

“We’re absolutely fine. Tell me how’re you?”

“I’m...I’m good. Just missing Vani, you, Ryan and all. Oh! I haven’t told you about going to Istanbul for business meeting. I need to call mom and dad too. And Vani told me that you went to home?” that was the reason of calling him but I guess I won’t tell him about the whole scene today. At least not after knowing that he is going to attend a business meeting in other country. We all know how works matter to him. If I told him he would be distracted and angry. And when he gets angry, he can do anything without thinking about the consequence. And I don’t want that. It can wait. I’ll handle if anything happens.

“Yeah! Ryan was missing AJ and you know AJ always busy with work and doesn’t eat properly when I’m not at home.” That’s fact. AJ is a workaholic too. He forgets to eat his food when it comes to works.

“Literally you’re raising two kids.” He chuckles.

“You can say that.”

“Vani said Mom and dad are sad after you left home. Call them when you get time, ok?” no matter what he loves them. But he doesn’t show in front of them. He built a wall in his mind and heart.

“ok. I need to call Vani also.” I just left without thinking what Vani would think. Now I feel guilty for not letting her know before I left.

“That would be great because she was worried about your sudden leaving. Well then, I’m going to hang up now ok I need to pack my cloths, important files and other things. Say hi to AJ bro from me  and give tons of kisses to Ryan on behalf of me.” see he says hello to others except me. I rolled my eyes even he can’t see me.

“Sure sure. When is your flight?” I forgot to ask him.

“Tomorrow.”

“Have a safe flight and don’t forget to bring something from there.”
