"What's the second rule of the Way of the Fist?" Dad calls, Miguel and him are doing punching on the pads while I'm punching the dummy, me and Miguel answer I'm unison
"Strike hard." Dad responds
"That's right. There's only one reason to hit someone. To inflict pain. Striking hard is about giving your all." I hear the punching on the bag, but suddenly the shop door jangles, we all stop
"What the hell?" I walk over to dad and Miguel and look towards the door, only to see Aisha, dad calls
"No yoga till five. No matter how bad you need it." She walks in properly in a very shy and nervous state
"Um, I'm actually here for karate. I saw your website. It said that there was supposed to be a session today." Dad keeps a close eye on her
"I appreciate you coming in but there are no girls in Cobra Kai." I become confused and look at him, I clear my throat, he looks at me
"That's different, you're my daughter." Aisha questions
"Why not?" Dad continues
"Same reason there aren't woman in the Army. Doesn't make sense." I roll my eyes slightly
"Dad." Miguel looks at him
"Uh, Sensei, I need to show you something in the office." They go into the office and bow as they get off the mat, I go up to Aisha
"Don't listen to him, my dad can be a real pain in the ass sometimes." She chuckles slightly
"It's okay." Suddenly dad and Miguel come back out
"Okay, take off your shoes. Hop on the mat." She takes her shoes off and walks onto the mat, I follow her and stand besides Miguel facing into dad and Aisha, dad looks at her
"Ok, after further review, I've decided to allow female students. But if you wanna be in Cobra Kai, you can't act like a girl." Aisha becomes confused
"What do you mean? How do girls act?" Dad seems to get slightly annoyed
"Don't give me that. You know, all emotional, loud, complain-y. Never letting you finish a sentence." Aisha gets sarcastic
"Well, I know a few guys who act just-" dad suddenly cuts her off by yelling
"Quiet!" I chuckle and look down
"Don't Miss that." Dad walks towards me and Miguel but stands halfway, walking back and forth in front of her
"My student tells me you've been harassed at school." Aisha looks down
"Yeah. Mostly online. Um, I get mean texts and E-mails sent to me. Make me not wanna go." Dad continues
"And how sends you these messages?" Aisha keeps an eye on him
"Well, they're mostly anonymous. These kids create fake accounts, and they tell me things like I'm Hulu and that I should kill myself." Dad stops in front of her
"Oh my god. What a bunch of pussies!" And for once I actually though he was going to be sentimental, dad continues walking back and forth
"Back in my day, if you wanted to tease someone, you did it to their face. There was honour, respect. These geeks hiding behind their computers, what a bunch of spineless losers. You're not afraid of these losers, are you?" Dad backs up and points at her slightly, she denies
"No." Dad continues
"You gonna take shit from these losers?" She suddenly gets more tuff
"No."
