"Kid, come on, we've got early training!" I sit up suddenly and look at the time
"Shit, sorry my alarm didn't go off!" I get up and look in my wardrobe for something to wear, I've only got jogging bottoms a black shirt and Eli's jacket... I'm sure he won't mind I wear it for training, I quickly get changed and put on my running shoes, I then realise my Seal isn't on my bed, I look around for it starting to worry about where it went, then I find it under my bed, I let a sigh of relief out and put it back on my bed, dad then calls
"Freya, come on!" I leave my room and meet him at the door
"I'm here." He nods
"Good, let's go." I pick up the speaker before we leave, as we get in the car he looks at it weirdly, I chuckle
"Get some music going, it'll be more fun." He debates
"Good, get some tunes going." I get in the car properly, we drive off and after about fifteen minutes we arrive at the scarp yard, everyone was pretty much their already, I join the group and dad stands on an old bus, he opens a beer and chugs it
"You've trained hard. You've gotten stronger, tougher, faster. You've done your best. You're ready for this tournament, am I right?" We all yell
"Yes, Sensei!" Dad chucks his can on the ground
"Wrong! You're best ain't shit! If you wanna win the All Valley Under-18 Karate Tournament, you gotta give me better than your best. Which is why from now on, you're gonna get my worst. Do you understand?" We all yell again
"Yes, Sensei!"
"Are you losers?"
"No, Sensei!"
"Are you nerds?"
"No, Sensei!"
"Are you sure?"
"No, Sensei!" I look at them confused as I was about to say yes, but they all said no, dad puts his hand on his face and groans, we go off to start our first exercise, just basically jumping through tires, Eli looks at me and give me a little smirk seeing that I'm wearing his jacket, I chuckle lightly and follow dad to tires, I set up the speaker and play we're not gonna take it by twisted sister, dad nods
"Hell, yeah!" I chuckle, dad yells
"Let's go, move those feet. Go!" Everyone begins to jump through the tires one foot at a time, kind of like ladders
"Let's go, squirt. Good job, buddy. Go! Well done, Freya!" I chuckle and we go again and again and again, getting quicker and quicker, but then Aisha trips
"Oh, my god!" Miguel falls, followed by me then Eli and a few others, I groan a bit
"Fuck..." everyone finally gets off me, I try to get up turning on my back first, but I kick someone's left by mistake, they fall on top of me, I open my eyes and realise it's Eli, I jump
"Shit! Sorry!" He's hovering over me, dad calls
"Hawk, get off my daughter." He looks up and jumps a bit
"Sorry, Sensei." He gets up and Offers me his hand, I take it, he helps me up, I smile at him slightly and look at dad
"I accidentally kicked his leg out, sorry, da- Sensei." He nods
"Right, to the second part then." We all go over to the cars and he gives us random stuff that can be used as weapons
"Your enemies are all around you. Destroy them!" We all go off and begin to destroy cars and what not, I found it oddly fun to smash everything up, even chucking stuff out of the windows, me and Eli chucked a massive slab out of the window and onto a car proper smashing it up, we both laugh and cheer a bit
