"Okay, Mr. Diaz, you're all good." He smiles slightly
"Thank you." The nurses finally leave, I go up to him and smile
"Hey." He looks at me
"Hi." I smile bright, I don't know what to say, he begins to chuckle
"What?" I couldn't stop smiling
"I just can't believe it. You're awake. I've been talking to you a lot the past couple of weeks... well, when I can. Have to get your mum to get me in." He chuckles a little, he's still rather weak
"I think I could hear you..." I become a bit taken back
"Really?" He agrees
"It was like a- a fight. Points, like the All Valley. Everyone's words kind of gave me a chance to push through and avoid stuff." I become a bit taken back
"Wow. I didn't expect that, If I'm honest." He smiles then asks a question
"Does my mum know?" I look around
"Uhm, I assume the nurses are going to tell her. Want me to call her?" He agrees
"Please." I nod and take out my phone and call her, once she answers I smile
"Hey, Carmen. I have a surprise for you." She sounds confused
"What?" I put the phone to Miguel, he speaks
"Hey, mum." She gasps
"Miggy?!" He smiles
"Yeah, surprise." She suddenly sounds like she's crying
"Mum?" She calls
"Mama, he's awake!" I smile and chuckle lightly, she calls down the phone
"When did you wake up, baby?" He debates
"About half an hour ago, maybe? The nurses only just left. So we though we'd call you." She seems over the moon
"Okay, we're coming. See you in ten minutes, I love you." Miguel's smile becomes more bright
"I love you too." She ends the call, I put my phone away and look at him
"I'm still shocked." He laughs a bit, but then he gets serious
"By the way, it wasn't your fault." I look up at him shocked
"W-what? How-?" He cuts me off
"Oh, come on, Frey. You're my best friend, the last thing I remember was your hand trying to grab me and my name echoing in my ears as you called you. Anyone could've guessed you blamed yourself. It wasn't your fault. You tried, that's all you could do." I look down and feel myself getting a bit upset, I quickly pull myself together and take his hand
"I love you, Miguel. Don't scare me like that again." I joke, He chuckles
"Of course." I tap his arm
"Tell you what, when you get out of this, we will go to your favourite place and get your favourite food, my treat." He smiles more
"Sounds like a plan." I get excited
"Heck yeah it does!" We both laugh a bit. Soon Carmen arrived so I decided to leave to give them some time, but Miguel gave me to all clear to tell everyone, the only place I could think of that would be able to tell everyone that matters quickly is the Dojo, even though Kreese is running it, I don't care. I drive down, park up outside and run in, everyone looks at me shocked, I smile at them all
"Miguel's awake!" The hall become shocked, but within that they all cheer, Hawk comes straight up to me
"You're not fucking with us, are you?!" I shake my head smiling
