Last night having dinner with dad was actually pretty fun, I was rather surprised that he didn't drink too much either, well god knows what he did when he got home, but it was nice to have dad partly sober. Anyway, as usual I have training, this time I pick Miguel up and drive down early, but to my surprise we had a whole crowd waiting outside the gym, as we get our the car looking at everyone shocked, they all look at us and seem even more shocked
"It's them." Some mutter, I chuckle lightly and look at Miguel, he smiles and we walk towards the door, now just waiting for dad. But then Eli and Demetri come up to us
"Hey, Freya, Miguel." I start to get really happy
"You guys came! Thank you!" Eli chuckles slightly
"The fight yesterday made us think about joining, you're both here, it shouldn't be too bad." I debate
"Depends on if my dads in the mood or not." I joke, Demetri adds
"I will never forget the first time we met your dad." We all kind of stare off recalling that moment and shiver a bit
"That was very scaring, even for me." I add, I then hear dads car turn up, Demetri adds
"We'll see you in there." I nod
"Yeah." They walk off to the crowd, dad gets out of his car and seems stunned, he walks over to us and smiles
"Looks like we're in business." We walk up to the door and unlock it. As we get everyone in and get all that we need to be sorted, we give them ten minutes to talk to one another while me, dad and Miguel get into our Gi's. Obviously it don't take that long but dad needed to sort himself out with a session plan, he don't just have three students anymore.
Dad finally comes out from his office and looks over all of us, everyone's talking pretty loud, Miguel, Aisha and I are just warming up, but dad goes to speak
"Ok. Today we begin-" he realises nobody's listening, so he does the only other thing he knows will work, I look at Miguel and Aisha
"Cover your ears." They become confused
"What, wh-" dad suddenly yells
"Quiet!" I hear the yell echo in my ear
"That's why." I mutter, everyone suddenly shoots there heads to dad and stops speaking
"Face front." Everyone sorts themselves out and fully faces the front, dad walks around and looks at everyone taking in the new students, he looks at Demetri
"Nice shirt." Demetri looks at it then smiles
"Thanks." Dad shows no restraint
"I'm joking. It sucks." I groan slightly
"Dad." He calls again
"Quiet!" Everyone jumps, I groan, he then stops at someone else
"Word of advice. If you got shit for teeth, don't smile." He walks around and insults more people
"For, makes me feel like a virgin, just looking at you." He finally starts to come back to the front and calls to everyone
"When I look around this dojo, I don't see Cobra Kai material. I see losers, I see nerds. I see a fat kid with a funny hat with his tits popping out. But I'm my short time as a Sensei, I've also seen some miracles." He looks at me, Miguel and Aisha, we all smile at him slightly, dad looks back at the others
"So, maybe there's some hope for you yet. But first, I need to see where you're at. Do everybody, fall in!" Everyone looks around confused and whispering a little, dad realises
