I'm Kai. I don't do much, but I protect Lex from emotional harm, by making him react differently then he normally would. If he yells at you, it is most likely me, not him. I do it, because he has been through too much already. No matter what home he is in, something will always happen, and I have to protect him. Never take anything out on Lex when he yells. It's me, not him.
