Chapter 24 Fang

She woke up under a tree not sure, what had happened. She could hear drums and chant

-Wake up, horn you are missing a show

There was no answer, she looked around it was beautiful, the was nothing but plains, the air was soft, she heard bird chirping in a nearby tree. She got up, she had to make sure she wasn't dreaming, horn would have never left her, nor would Tingle and she had to admit she really liked Tauren, she was calm, reserve and funny plus she could finally have girl talk. She looked around for a while but couldn't find anyone

-I went to scout on ahead, I don't know this place but I'm hungry, which means you are too, I bet we can hunt, said her familiar

She had like having her familiar around, she was even proud to be by his side, he was big, fearsome, very intimidating, but he was secretly very kind, he worried a lot about her and her friends. The two of them were so similar, Kenshin had mention that familiar were a projection of themselves.

-Biggest catch get to pick the cut as always, said the boar

It was a pretty evenly match, it was their method of training, she grabbed her axed and went to hunt, nothing but rabbit and snake, she walked a couple of miles. Till she finally saw the perfect prey a beautiful white wolf it was humongous, it was covered in bruise, Fang laugh remembering the first fight her and horn had, the boar with the scars. This wolf was huge probably an alpha just like the one that had transformed Tingle. She strategizes a bit and was ready. She started with her usual stumping of the ground, the plan had backfired a bunch of other wolves came to join, she wasn't sure if it was the effect of her berserk ability or how hard the fight was going to be but she was excited. She equipped her dragon bone armor, most of their attack would be ineffective but the armor had some flaws, a lot of holes the enemies would eventually find out. She took out her newly enhance hammer, it was heavier but with the chain if she could muster some momentum, the weight wouldn't matter. In her first swing she took two of the smaller one, it was a bad idea, the alpha was now angry. It was amazing, a single howl and the wolf were in formation. Fang tried to swing but was tackle by a wolf, she didn't understand the armor was strong that should not hurt. She came to the conclusion; they were obeying order and were ready to die. She felt a bite, they had already found her weak point. She was overwhelmed. The alpha was still howling order and there number was increasing , it was a mistake to separated herself from the familiar. She was soon brought to her knees and felt a blunt to her head. She woke up in an unfamiliar place for the second time that day, it wasn't unfamiliar though, when she saw the bars she realized, just like the day she met Horn she was in a cage

-Let me out , she screamed

She heard footstep, very heavy footstep and saw a man face, he was bearded with huge Fangs in his mouth, memory of her father came rushing in, they were blurry but there was no mistaking it was an orc. She didn't remember much about her father, he was distant preferring the hunt to staying home, but when he was there, he would smile and always play with her.

-I can't tell what you are, you look like us, but those ears, we don't take kindly to half breed around here

She wasn't sure what she was supposed to expect, but it wasn't that, she knew it was an orc this was her opportunity to get to know her people

-My father was an orc and so am I, she said

- half breed aren't orc and if your father didn't teach you that you shouldn't hunt in other clan territory, I doubt he was a great orc

Her heart was broken, they didn't accept her and they had even insulted her, she wasn't sure what to do, she wished her friend where there

- luckily we believe in trial , best of cases you leave here alive we will keep your weapon as a payment for the lives you took, worst case you are hung.
