Chapter 26 Tingle

Tingle woke up in a cavern, between the huge waterfall and the animals around him, it was a miracle he had not woke up before. He looked around and saw Cerberus, it was a familiar face. The rest of the cave was filled with small beast, animal there to help him, gathered by his god's gift

. -Finally awake sleepy head? said Cerberus

- Where are we? ask Tingle

- You are the cartographer you tell me; you been sleeping in for days, said Cerberus

Tingle spoke with the animals to learn where they were, the location he knew from the wizard numerous maps, it was at two months of walk from the minotaur's camps the war was going to start in six month he had ample time, but it was so far and he was alone, no allies he could count on, the animal revealed a troubling fact, this area was dangerous they were prey. the animals were too afraid to even talk about the beast. Tingle also learned that it was thanks to them that he had succeed in locating the safe haven, he felt bad for them, constantly being afraid. It wasn't a life; he knew from his years of solitude.

-Let's help them, said Tingle

-I know you want to help, but it's a bad situation kid, believe me, said Cerberus Tingle was in awe, Cerberus was probably the proudest of the familiar in their group. It was the first time he saw him unsure, what an odd situation

- You always complaining I'm not training enough, we should use this as an opportunity, said Tingle

They spent the whole day making map, finding safe spot. The forest was too quiet, he knew he was on a mountain, but if he was right, he was close enough to the ground for animal to come and goes this silence was odd.

- Let's find the safest spot hunt a bit and call it a day, said Cerberus

Again, the familiar was worried, it was odd, Tingle was now certain something was up, but he couldn't find his friend, a moment of doubt got to him he was strong. But what if they weren't strong enough? There was too much he didn't know. They went to bed after eating some fish, Tingle wanted to light a fire, but was asked not to. The moon just raised when he finally understood. He heard howling, lots of them, it was probably a whole pack. Was that the predator some simple wolf? It was getting closer and closer; Cerberus was looking nervous

-Tingle, we need to run, they are trouble! Tingle agreed they were running away, but they were too slow and against too many, they eventually got surrounded. The wolves were huge till they got up on their two feet, it wasn't wolves, they were werewolves.

- Dinner is serve, said a voice

- No, don't said a white wolf, he is one of us

But Cerberus was still bearing his Fangs , this meant that he didn't trust them - Mother, he might be one of them , he is a male, said another werewolves - Leave them be , there is not a lot of time left. said the white wolf And they left as quick as they had appeared , the two friend finally relax

- They are friendly, said Tingle I think they are hunting, but at least they didn't attack. Said Tingle

- those aren't the one I seen, said Cerberus

- What exactly did you see? ask Tingle

- They were werewolves too, but those seems different most werewolves have to go through a control phase, in the beginning werewolves can't control their hunger, as they get older it becomes easier. But the werewolves I saw, smelled different and were willing to eat and kill anything they could. Tingle was analyzing the information.It took him a while but he finally came with a plan
