Chapter 27

Chapter 27 Tauren

Tauren woke up to Noctowl worried hoot. She got up to a horrible feeling, even though she thick fur the air was freezing, she jumped when she saw her surroundings. It was the peak of a mountain and it didn't seem safe at all.

-How did we get here? ask Tauren

-Tauren this place , this is sacred ground, this is incredible, how lucky we are , answered Noctowl

Tauren started to smile, she was thankful to her familiar, if she was reserved, he wasn't. He was a positive influence on her and would always ask her the question when he knew she wanted to talk but was too shy. She looked around once again, she wondered what he meant by sacred but it didn't matter. She had just made new friends that accepted her for who she was. She didn't know them well, but she knew that for the first time ever she felt like she belonged, she had loved her time with her race but they were so different and she was bullied so much as a kid. But her father was understanding and cared for her a lot. She decided to take a stroll, to get her mind clear, when she started to notice enormous feather on the ground, this place seemed more and more sacred, maybe Noctowl was right after all.

-These feathers, who do they belong to? ask Tauren

Oh, you will love their story, said Noctowl it goes back to the creation, when we were fighting the infernal, we had agreed to create a race each, the devil tribe and the elves. Little did we know they had other plans, in hiding they created the dragons, they were fearsome and were spitting fire the elves only weakness, we had to act quick. that when we created the eagle, they were the leader of the sky, strong enough to take on dragon, it thanks to them we won the war it was glorious

Tauren smiled once more, she remembered hearing stories all of her childhood, tale of great battle, tale of great romance, she remembered everything. She even remembers their meeting. She was very sick as a kid, one time she was in a coma and when she woke up, she had summoned her familiar. How proud her father had been, she felt bad for the familiar, she had misused his ability as a young minotaur. She could create an after image a double made of thin air. She used it to escape conversation preferring Noctowl stories and nature.

I found them, they want to meet you, said Noctowl

Tauren became very nervous, she had never been good at first impressions, she remembers how bad Kenshin and his friend had tried so hard to gain the minotaur's help. They would be so happy to get the eagle help. She knew the sheer was crafty and she knew it was his decision she was there, she trusted him with her life, maybe the reason she was even there was to help her friend in the war. She decided here and there that she would try her hardest to get the celestial to help her.They entered a giant cave where the wind didn't come in, it only took her a couple of second to enter a giant room, where three eagles were laying, she had thought that they would be more, her clan had for tradition to have hunting party question of protecting their home at the same time. Maybe the eagle did the same. When they saw her arrived, they talk unfortunately they spoke an old tongue that she didn't understand, she had to rely on her familiar to translate everything.

-They are impressed with you, you're the first visitor they had in a long time and they are happy it's a minotaur they have never met one.

Tauren was feeling butterfly in her stomach, they were kind and they seem to like her

-It is an honor to meet your honorable beast, I am Tauren I have heard that your race was great, I see the legend were true

She knew exactly what to say, time with her father had taught her how to deal with possible allies or threats, it was called diplomatic. If she continued like this her chance of gaining their trust and help, she could convince them to fight on their side. She could travel on their back and she knew they could change the tides of the battle. The eagle had finish talking and Noctowl translated

-They asked me how did we find the place, I told them the seer had teleported us here when the infernal had attack, they are asking if the infernal army was big and if they had dragon

This was incredible they were showing interest in the war and she knew they were likely to be against anything infernal. It was her moment to ask the most important questions she ever had to ask

-Me and my friends are fighting the infernal, we are looking for allies and would be honored if you would help us as you once did

One of the eagles slapped his wing angrily and as they were speaking Noctowl was looking more and more worried,which made her more stress. When they finally stop talking Noctowl turned to her and didn't need to translate his expression said everything.They weren't happy

-This is their home, they said it's not normal to visit people and ask for favor

- Tell them I am sorry , pleaded Tauren

Thankfully after that the situation calmed down, the eagle even shared their meals with her, it was a simple meal, she couldn't identify it, but she was thankful, she wasn't sure what was the next thing to do, she wanted to rely on them to go back home, if she had been teleported chances are her friends would have been too. Getting home was one thing but she wanted to make sure that her friends could too and that could mean using the eagle to locate them. Now even her going back was going to be a problem.

-Any suggestions? she asked

I'm not sure they have a lot of pride and won't listen, I think they want to help but for whatever reason they can't and I don't know if we are going be able to convince them.

They ate trying to find a solution but to no avail, they spent a whole week just exploring training and trying to find a solution, after two-week Tauren finally decides to talk to the eagle again, they wouldn't talk. It was a weird situation, they wouldn't interact yet everyday she had her meal prepared, it sounded like they accepted her but at the same time didn't. It reminded her of her whole life with the minotaur's the situation was similar. Tauren, laugh she founded a solution, she spent the next couple of day gathering stone and anything she could, then with the help of her element, she sent air waves to carves a monster statue, she had gotten the inspiration when the devil tribe had attacked. Right after that she started to fight the statue showing her combat skill, she showed everything she could minotaur were very prideful just like the eagle. It seems it had work because They were talking again, Noctowl seemed excited at first then turned around and looked sad.

-I know why they won't help, they are three male the last of their kind so they cant reproduce, said the familiar

Tauren understood but still survivor or not, the fight wasn't not over ,The eagle continued after Noctowl was finished

-They said that that their part was done , that the dragon died and that they did their part, that they are too strong for mere mortal and that there was no way they would risk it

But they were wrong Fang had fought a dragon

-Tell them, said Tauren

But they didn't believe her she had tried everything and had failed they didn't care , nobody ever cared about the weak this got her mad

- The war is going on, there are still dragon and you are making a mistake. We need you, the celestial need you and your are abandoning us.

After her rant, she left the cave and began her descent, she was sad she failed , but eagle or not , the world needed her , her friend needed her. She wasn't a coward, she was a minotaur and they would help the celestial
