Y/n POV

Almost five years ago

"Murphy!" I yelled as we ran through the hall ways. His laughter echos as I run to catch up. As I ran around the corner I jumped as he grabbed my shoulders.

"Murphy! You scared me." He laughed making me roll my eyes. "Your not funny." "I'm hilarious y/n and you know it." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"So what are you doing for your birthday tomorrow?" "Oh the usual, crossing my fingers that my parents won't get floated." I looked at him as the tension build up between us.

"Y/n." "It's alright Murphy. I'm fine." "Well since I won't see you tomorrow I wanted to give you something." He stood in front of me. "Close your eyes." I did what he said. A cold chain went around my neck. "Open."

I look down at the chain around my neck. Since you can't find necklaces on the ship I could tell he made it.

I brushed my fingers along the gear. "I know it's not a lot." I cut him off. "It's perfect." I hugged him. "Thank you Murphy." He nodded with a soft smile.

That was the last time I talked to Murphy. On my birthday my parents were floated for a crime they didn't commit. Three days later I was thrown into jail. Why? I don't know. Supposedly I was seen stealing things.

Present day

Once out of the ship an on earth I've kept to myself. I've talked to no one, I'm pretty sure some don't even know my name.

As I step out of my tent I ran into someone. "Jeez watch it." I know that voice anywhere. "Sorry." He looked at me his eyes grazed over me.

"Hey Murphy." "Y/n." He pushed me back into the tent and tackled me into a hug.

"I've missed you!" I said into his neck. "I've missed you too." As we let go his hands stayed on my shoulders.

His thumb traced along the chain he gave me many years ago. "You kept it?" "Of course I did." He lifted the chain up making my heartbeat fast as his fingers grazed my neck.

"You look..." he trailed off looking me up and down making me suddenly insecure. "Gorgeous." He finished. I smiled. "You don't look to bad yourself." He gave me another hug.

"Gosh, I've missed you!" His lips touched my neck as he spoke making me shiver. Before I was in prison I had the biggest crush on him. Sitting in my room alone I was able to think about lots of things and one thing I always thought about was seeing Murphy again.

If he would hug me like when we were younger or if he'd change. And I was right, he did.

He changed. He grew up. I wonder if I changed to him or if I still look like the little girl he was friends with.

"Murphy!" Bellamy yelled. "Where is he." "I wish he would shut up some times." I lightly laughed as he rested his head on my shoulder. I pat his back. "Sounds important you should go." He nodded. He grabbed the necklace once more.

He smiled down at it. "I'm glad I get to see your pretty face everyday again." I looked down and smiled. His fingers fell from my necklace and were placed under my chin lifting it up ever so slightly.

He licked his lips which he would do when he was thinking hard about something. He looked at my lips. He leaned in and I didn't stop him.

"Murphy!" Bellamy yells again making us stop only centimeters away from each other. "I'm gonna kill him." He mumbles. He smiled and walked out.

I guess it's a good thing we didn't kiss. I mean we haven't seen each other in years!

My tent opened up again, he leaned in and kissed my cheek. "I'll see you at dinner." He winked making me blush.

He hasn't changed.
