After my morning classes were over, I put my books away in my locker and was about to head to lunch, but I bumped into somebody. "Ow." I said when I fell to the ground.
"Oh, sorry. My bad." I heard a male voice say to me. I looked up and saw a boy with brown hair holding his hand out to me. I took his hand cautiously and he easily pulled me up.
"I wasn't looking where I was going. Sorry again." The boy said.
I brushed the dust off my clothes as I scrambled to my feet. "Since when did you get so formal?"
"Since I made you fall. I'm glad nobody saw us otherwise I'd have been roasted." Edward grinned like a jerk. "You're not hurt, are you?"
I shook my head. "Nah, I'm fine. But you were solid like a wall."
He chuckled. "I'll take that as a compliment."
I began to walk towards the cafeteria with him beside me. I looked around and was surprised to find him alone. "Where's your famous friend?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I was about to ask you the same thing."
"Why me?"
"Thought he was with you. Maybe." He said simply.
"And why is that ? We're barely friends." I said continuing walking away.
He laughed. "Seriously? Like barely friends? You don't hang out with some barely friends, like you two are getting into."
I stopped dead in my tracks and he almost walked a couple of steps away before turning back to me. "What did you say?"
"I said you don't hang out with barely friends."
"No, no, hang on. How did you know we hung out last night? Did Nathan tell you?"
He made a funny face. "Is that a bad thing? Or am I in trouble?"
I waited, gazing into his eyes for his answer. When I didn't make a move, he rolled his eyes. "Ok fine. Yeah, Nathan told me. I was about to head towards his home when he mentioned his reservation with you."
This time I made a face. "That boy got some nerves!"
"You mad at him ? To be honest I didn't see any reasons."
I just then realized what I was doing and I coughed to get back to normal. "Sorry, I didn't mean that. Yeah, it's totally fine."
He smiled at me and we resumed our walk to the cafe. Just as we entered, we both spotted my group and Nathan in opposite directions. Edward thumped my back. "I guess I'll see you around."
"Sure," I said.
He winked and walked away. I went over to my friends.
"Hey April. What's up ?" Logan asked .
"Nothing much.Since when do you greet that ?" I asked on the verge of laughing
"I just felt like saying it." He said with his cheeks turning red. I shook my head with a grin. He brushed his nose making it go bright red. He's so cute when he does that and I love this part of him.
"Where's Emma ?" I asked, noticing that she's not at the table we were sitting at.
Rachel shook her head. "Don't know. And I even forgot to text her."
Clark pinched her shoulder. "You forgot Emma. She's gonna kill you now."
Rachel slapped his hands away. "She's always with you. Why didn't you check up on her ?"
