Sun was about to set. People were heading home to their beautiful warm families. Everyone was happily passing by except for us as we sat around the table, heads joined and engulfed in deep thoughts. The beam Clark was wearing a few minutes before was long gone. The shy smile Emma had plastered when Clark complimented her had vanished. Rachel and Logan, always the serious ones and as for me, I was the knight of worriedness. I was freaking out. I was sweating. I couldn't control my emotions. I admit I was scared. The letter I received at my locker laid, smirking at me. Reminding me that I was thousands of steps behind in my mission. We weren't able to trace any single detail and yet me and my teammate's identities were caught and obviously we were kept on watch. There was no point denying it. What type of a captain am I ? What was wrong with me? I guess Mitchell was right. It is a difficult and dangerous mission.

"So, what do we do now?"

Rachel's low tone voice snapped me out and I was flushed to see all eyes on me.

"I don't understand how they know about us." Clark said, resting back in his chair. "I mean, we were always careful. We didn't do anything to blow our cover away."

Logan scratched his cheek. "Well, obviously we did something. Otherwise, how could they have known ?"

Clark shook his head. "No way, man. I can guarantee myself I did my level best. There is no way in hell anyone could have suspected anything."

I raised my head. "It doesn't matter now how they know. The fact is they know and we don't and we are far behind. We need to catch up."

They all nodded at me. Emma let out a sigh. "So what's the call then ? What do you think we should do?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm open to suggestions. Anyone like to drop in?"

Silence spread out again. All of us focusing hard and smacking our brains to work fast. Logan looked up at us. "I think I might have something."

"Yeah?" I encouraged him to go on with his move.

He took a pause before starting. "I think we need to trace every single one of them we suspect and raid their homes. That way we can know for sure if it's someone among them."

"Raiding homes?" Rachel said. "And how can you do that ? You need to get a warrant for that, you know."

Logan shook his head. "Yeah, I'm aware of that. I'm not saying to head in infront of them. I meant to do it secretly."

Emma seemed to be getting along so she quickly took out her list of suspects. She spread it out on the table for us to see. It had the names and I found Nathan's first in line. My face must have changed when Emma nudged me to look at her. I gave her a confusing look. She didn't reply, she just stared at me for a second before Rachel took the paper and began to read it herself.

"How can we raid Nathan's, Edwards and everybody else's home without noticing us?"

Clark messed up with his hair. "I don't think it's a good idea. I think we should think about something else."

"Ok like what ?" Logan asked, folding his arms. "You have anything else?"

"I'm thinking bro." Clark raised his hands in surrender.

"Dude, we don't have much time. Think fast if you're onto suggesting something different." Logan frowned at him. "Our mission and lives are at stake."

Emma and Rachel tried to jump in but none of the plans seemed to be working except what Logan suggested. I sat back listening to my teammates snapping and planning but my mind was running at a different point. If we come up to raid houses, I know they will plan to raid Nathan first as he's on the list. I don't know why but somewhere I was not ready to have this happen to him. My feelings, my guts everything was telling me not to do this. Why was I having this kind of feeling? I honestly didn't have a clue. I kept asking myself. If he's innocent which my stupid heart was aiming to bet for 80% I was gonna strain my friendship with him. Why was his friendship and he becoming so important to me? I couldn't erase the feeling of happiness I had stuck up when he caught hold of me and spun me around. And I know, I saw his eyes flickered towards my lips. He was thinking of doing that if Gretta hadn't caught us red handed. He was drawn to me and somehow I was being pulled towards him as well. I don't know anything about him. He might be one of the gang or just a simple guy with handsome looks and great playing moves. But if he was…. ? Was my newly developed friendship with a stranger more important than my mission and my teammates?
