Chapter 7|| 𝒩𝑒𝓌 𝐵𝑜𝓃𝒹𝓈

Today I was introduced to a whole new world...

I arrived at the front door quickly and snickered, looking back a my cousin and his friend I grinned. They were kind of far away from me, so me making it to the door first felt like an accomplishment. I yanked my keys out of my pocket and fumbled to get them in the door swinging it open swiftly so I could see my favourite boy.

"Udoon!!" I called and imediatley there was the jingle of his bell followed by a "mrow".
I flung myself at the floor and gave him a smush to which he purred. In the meantime while I doted over my cat, Satori and Ushijima made their entry.

"Honestly (N/N)-chan what are you doing?" Satori questioned as I meowed at my cat.
"Uhhh obviously being awesome unlike you." I playfully jabbed at him all the while Ushijima stood watching quietly.
"Hey I'm awesome, watch your mouth or I won't let you join for games and pizza." He warned me.

I perked up, hoping to play animal crossing again, if Satori even let me.
"How long is it until later?" I quizzed
Satori sat and had a think, his face scrunched up and wrinkled.
"Hmmm" he said his hand in his chin, eventually his face relaxed and he grinned.
"Now! I gotta shower but I'll order the pizza first, Mum and Dad told me they won't be home till late."
"I'll set up the switch while you order." Ushijima stated immediately turning to the tv.

"Uhhh so what do I do??" I asked. They both looked over to me and then looked at the couch.
"Chill.." satori shrugged. Without argument I slung myself onto the couch and waited for them.
Satori ordered the pizza and payed on the pizza app.
He then wandered off to the bathroom.

Ushijima finished up loading the dock and turned the tv on, but decided to wait for Satori before he chose a game. Turning towards me he waddled over and sat on the couch next to me. I was used to this, as he usually sat in that spot when he came over. What shocked me a little though, was when he decided to start the small talk between the two of us.

"Did you see my spikes?" He murmured.
A little shocked I got out an, "Oh yeah I saw them."
He gave a small, almost invisible smile and further questioned me.
"What did you think?"
Thinking back, I got exited at the memory.
"It was so cool! You were like bam and then like kablooy!!" I grinned at him fondly.
He raised a brow, "Kablooy? That's definaltey different."

Suddenly feeling subconscious about my childish way of speaking I began to mumble a little.
"Oh uh, yeah I guess it is..." I stated quietly.
'Quick (Y/N) make it not Awkies!' I thought to myself; frustrated as to why I was feeling that way.
"So why did you agree to let us come to practice." I asked.

He was quiet for a minute, not looking me in the eye; but then replied, "Because I want to get to know you better."
I was shocked at this, feeling that up until now,he didn't really have too much interest in me; just talking to me because I was his best friend's cousin.... Or so I thought.
Baffled I spoke up, "Really? Why.."

"Because.. I think you're interesting and that's all." He said and looked me in the eye now a somewhat determined look in his eye, like I were the volleyball he had to hit.
Looking into his deep olive coloured eyes I just couldn't tear myself away. His compliment left me with a feeling in my stomach, it made me nervous... and a little excited. It was hard to look away from him... But I did.

Flustered I stammered.
"I-uh-than- I think you're pretty interesting yourself.." I replied.
Ushijima chuckled at me, something that yet again surprised me.
'Gee he is full of surprises today' I thought.
'He is... a lot less intimidating than when I first talked to him, almost friendly.' I dared to think further.

We both continued to discuss things we liked and told stories of Satori being a doofus. It was fun, even if most of the time he sounded bored. I discovered he likes farming and agriculture and decided I would have to show him my room sometime.

Eventually Satori finally came out of the shower and snuck up on us.

"Naaaww~~ look at you two bonding."
