This is so boring... I'm sitting in my cousin Satori's lounge room with my parents and my aunt, waiting for him to get home.
'Jeez it's already 6:00PM, how long does it take to get home from school?' I wondered. Then, suddenly the door flung open and walked in my cousin Satori, kind of sweaty- weird. I haven't seen Satori since I was in my first year of middle school, now I'm in my last year of high school; so is he. His hair is different, it used to be in a bowl-cut.

"I'm hom- oh hello.." He started with a shout but then lowered his voice when he noticed me and my family in his living room.
"Mum, why's Aunt (M/N), Uncle (D/N) and uh- her here?" He asked.
This sparked a slight annoyance in me.
"Her? Sa-Chan I'd hope you'd remember your own cousin's name jeez." I spoke out. He just kind of stared then sat down next to his Mother on the couch after his Dad's prompting gesture.

"It's good to see you again Satori," my Mother started, smiling.
"Me and (D/N) are going to be going on a year long business trip and given (Y/N)'s high education level we're enrolling her at Shiritorizawa. While we are gone she and our cat Udon will be living with you." My mother continued.
I shuffled; the atmosphere was awkward, I don't like being talked about that much and the circumstances were weird.

She finished with," We've already discussed it with (A/N) And (U/N) but we wanted to tell you as well. She'll be sleeping in the spare room next to your own."
Satori looked shocked, mouth agape and eyes extended. Looking from his parents to mine, he then suddenly jumped up looking exited.
"(N/N)-Chan gets to live with us! Really? Yay this is gonna be so great, I'll introduce you to eeeeeeeveryone!" He shouted.
T

hose words. Those words.

'I'll introduce you to everyone'.

They filled me with an existential dread. I'm not ready to be the new kid at an elite school. I'm not even ready for my parents to leave. Damn.
More discussions were held and after that my parents helped me finish unpacking the rest of my stuff. It was mainly just plants and getting Udon out of the cat carrier.

Udon was exited to adventure the new
building, which was a bit of a relief. After we finished unpacking, I gave both my parents a tight hug and a gentle kiss before they left for the airport. Without saying a word however to my relatives, I sighed and went to my new room. I got myself ready for bed then went to sleep with Udon cuddled against me.

I woke up to the sound of a small knock on my door.
Groggily I spoke, "Hello?"
"(Y/N), It's me (A/N) It's 6 o'clock you need to get up so you can get to your first day on time with Satori." She spoke softly from behind the door.
"Okaaay~" I croaked out, half asleep.
6 o'clock is too early at my old school I only had to wake up at 7. Getting up I put on my new uniform and brushed out my ratty unwashed hair; I also made an attempt at styling it.

Everntuallty satisfied I opened my door. Coming downstairs to eat breakfast I saw Satori already at the table, eating some toast. I made my own then quickly joined him. We ate in silence until we were done, then we got up and bid farewell to Aunt (A/N). We made small talk on the way to school.

"So how's it make you feel being able to go to the most prestigious school in the prefecture (N/N)-Chan?" Satori asked. He had a wide goofy grin on my face

"It's ok I guess, I'm kind of nervous." I confessed. He chuckled.
"There's nothing to be nervous about, it's not that amazing." He smiled.
"Heh, I hope so." I said with a chuckle. We fell back into silence... then I broke the ice again.
"So why did you get home so late last night? And why were you covered in sweat?" I asked. It had confused me then and still confused me now.

"(Y/N), I play volleyball." He was looking at me with his face scrunched up in dissapointment; as if I was some kind of fool.
"I've played since I was in middle school, bruh." He added.
"O-oh.." I simply stated, face flushed in embarrassment. We continued to walk until we reached the castl- I mean school.
"Holy shit, it's huge!" I exclaimed earning a few stares.

Satori snorted.
"That's what she said."
I elbowed him in the gut and laughed when he doubled over.
"Sa-Chan I need to go to the office can you take me there before you head off to class please." I asked. He nodded and lead me to the office.
"Have a good day." He said as he went off to his class once I he finished his task

I stood in the principles office as he briefed me about school rules and blah blah blah. I kind of zoned out until he gave me my timetable and then sent me off to find my way around this gigantic school.
' Maybe I should have listened better...'

I'm lost.

I was wondering around the school rather lost right now but I thought I was near the music classrooms as I could hear some music playing nearby.
"I need to find a map." I said out loud hoping a magic map will hear me. Low and behold the map gods are smiling on me today, and thankfully my classroom is nearby.

I made it to my classroom.

Ba-bum

The beginning of my new life was about to begin.

Ba-bum

Ba-bum

Heart thumping in my chest, I knock on the large wooden door three times. I heard the teacher shuffle towards the door and soon he open it. He welcomed me in and I scanned the room, hoping by all means Satori was in my class; he was not... I introduced myself and then the teacher told me to sit next to a girl by the window. After that he simply continued with his class and I silently took down the notes. Before I knew it, lunch came around and I was alone.

"Hm where do I even go?" I mumbled to myself while packing up my bag...
