I have been sitting on the bed for almost 3 hours waiting for ‘prince charming’ to come back. Rose entered the room and locked the door behind her, and I just looked at her in confusion.
“Why did you lock it?” I ask standing up.
“He is climbing the tree” as she says that a knock from the balcony comes. I go and open the door to see him carrying a plastic bag.
“I brought what you asked” he mumbles and hands the bag to Rose.
“Thank you. You wait here, Tara come with me” Rose drags me to the bathroom and takes out the contents.
“Is that…?”
“A pregnancy test? Yes it is, now read the instructions and do it” she says and steps out. I carefully read the instructions and proceed. After I’m done I go out.
“So?” Rose asks and walks closer.
“I still have a minute till the results appear” I say and sit on the bed beside ‘prince’.
“I hope the best you know?” he whispers lightly.
“Me too” I say back and lay my head on his shoulder causing him to flinch at first.
“Time is up” Rose says and stands by the bathroom door.
“Go on” he says and I stand and walk slowly to the bathroom.
“Come with me?” I ask him afraid of what awaits behind the door. He walks to me and holds my hand tightly, squeezing it to show support and encourage me.
“Here goes nothing” I whisper and walk in with him, but Rose stays behind. I hold up the test closing my eyes breathing out and counting to three. One…two… three.
“What is it?” he asks.
