As we walk towards the town, people gave us dirty looks and ran out of the way directly. Maybe Dean didn't care much but it didn't feel right to me. Children were pointing at us, old men were sneering, and women were hiding anywhere safe they could find.
"Is this normal?" I asked Dean in a hushed voice.
"To me yes but don't worry ok? They can't do anything to hurt us" he said and squeezed my hand in reassurance.
"Ok, oh here is the bakery" I pointed and let go of Dean's hand and stood in front of him causing him to stop walking.
"What?" he said chuckling lightly at my actions.
"I'm going to go check if charming is there or not" I said sternly pointing my finger at him.
"Why don't we go there together?"
"Hell no, I'm going first and you stay put ok?" he just nodded and smirked.
I started walking towards the bakery but not before I glanced back to see if Dean was in his spot, which he raised his hands innocently. I took a deep breath and opened the door of the bakery and got greeted with the warm smell of baked goods. I took a look around looking for charming but I didn't find him anywhere, that's until I heard him yell.
"Charming?" I called out since the bakery was empty.
"Tara?" he called from the kitchen.
I walked towards his voice into the kitchen and found him siting on the floor.
"Why are you on the floor?" I asked and gave him a hand.
"I slipped on jam" he said embarrassed by the fact and I just laughed it off.
"Oh shit you are here" I said realizing the situation.
"Yeah?" he said raising his eyebrow.
"Dean is outside"
"What?! Why the hell is he here?"
"Um, I kind of brought him here hoping you only work at night" I admitted.
"Tara, why would you risk it? He can't see me" he says and runs a hand through his hair.
"I'm really sorry charming, I'll leave and take him with me right now I promise" I say.
"No it's fine. How about I give you cake or some baked shit I have here and you can tell him that we are closed today but you took the last batch? I don't know just create stuff" he says and grabs my hand taking me with him to pick the baked stuff.
"Ok, here is what I have and I know you want the carrot cake but what would Dean like?" he asks me while packing my carrot cake slice away.
"I don't know, give me the vanilla for rose and I'll take the chocolate for Dean I guess" I shrugged and waited for him to pack them all.
"Here you go" he gave me the bag.
"Thank you, can I expect you today?" I ask before heading out.
"Yes you can" he winks and waves goodbye.
As I go out in the cold air I shiver and head to Dean as fast as I can.
"Is he there?" Dean asks as soon as he sees me.
"They are closing for the day because apparently they are expecting snow or rain?" I say jumping around his question.
"Aha, yeah it is going to snow most probably today" he says and takes the bag from me.
"Please tell me you like chocolate cakes" I say hoping he does.
"Not really, why?"
"Really I thought you were that kind of guy. What does Rose like?"
"She loves black forest and I love anything with coconuts"
"Seriously? Wait here, don't you dare move I need to go back really fast" I turn and walk as fast as I can back to the bakery.
"Charmin!" I yell and he comes running from the kitchen.
"Why are you still here?" he asks rubbing the flour from his hand on his apron.
"I got the cakes wrong, I need a black forest cake for rose and anything with coconut for Dean"
"Wow the cakes don't exactly go with the personalities" he says and starts packing the cakes.
"What do I owe you?" I ask then realize I have nothing on me.
"Absolutely nothing" he says and hands me the cakes.
"Are you sure?" I ask again and he nods.
"Thank you so much charming and I'm sorry for the bother" I say and hug him.
"Not a problem" he says and I go out of the shop running to where Dean is standing.
"All done please take me to the palace" I breathe heavily from the entire running I did.
He nods and we start walking and I couldn't help but snuggle into him, because it was really cold and I'm not wearing winter clothes at all. We arrive and the guards open the gates.
"I'm going to bring forks and whatnot, and you go wear something warmer please because your lips are turning blue" he says and I nod heading to me room.
I just grab the first sweater I see and wear it over my shirt and grab any scarf I can find, and go back down looking for Dean. I spot him in the kitchen talking to Rose.
"Hi Rose" I say and hug her.
"Let's eat" Dean says.
"No let's eat outside" I say and grab the cakes.
"What? Are you insane? You were going to die from the cold a moment ago" Dean says and takes the bag of cake from me.
"Hey! No we are sitting outside right Rose?" Dean and I look at Rose expecting her to answer.
"You can't make me choose! Let's play heads and tails; I've got a coin. So Tara you are tails and Dean you are heads" she tosses the coin and looks at us showing us the results.
"Yes! Let's go outside" I say and grab the bag from a defeated Dean and Rose grabs the forks and goes with me with a Dean trailing behind us.
