Alex wasn't aware of falling asleep, but the next time she opened her eyes, it was dark outside. Someone had seen to her stab wound too, probably Pietro with the precision it was bandaged. Her older stab wound had healed faster than normal yet the scar was still clear across her chest.

Just thinking of Pietro made Alex blush and collapse back onto the cushions. Would he say anything to her? Should she say anything?

No. No, they needed to get through this and then they could talk.

"Shut up, Theundruk."

"Whose Theundruk?" Alex stiffened then relaxed, seeing it was just Kore.

"On a good day, my conscience. Are you okay?"

"Wanda threw a book at me." Kore simply said.

Alex laughed slightly, "I'm sorry. She's weird, hates most people. I need to tell Pietro this proves I'm not the problem though."

"She didn't even say sorry. Is that normal?"

"Nothing is normal here. Except that, that is." Kore didn't even smile at the joke, so Alex patted her hand, "Talk to Pietro about it and don't judge her too much. She's a good person, the twins just had a fucked-up childhood and Wanda struggles with it more than Pietro does."

"Okay. Do you want me to get Pietro? What are we doing now?"

"I know how to find Alastair. My knives," she pulled the tablet off her suit and showed it to Kore, "are tracked on here. I need a distraction at the Avengers base so I can delete any footage they get from my suit and stop them from finding Alastair using it. I was just going to kill him, but with you here, I think we can do a lot worse."

Kore bit her lip, nervous, "What do you mean?"

Pietro held a hand out, stopping Wanda from walking through the door as he listened to the conversation Alex and Kore were having.

"We were best friends," Kore was laughing, "and you were the only person I felt like I could talk to. When Alastair gave you back to your family, it killed a part of me."

"I'm back now," Alex leaned forwards and squeezed Kore's hand, "and I'm sorry I don't remember, I find it hard to believe I'd forget someone like you."

"Are you flirting with her?" Pietro ran through the door, Wanda trailing behind him, "Stop it."

"Why? Are you jealous, darling?"

"Desperately so." He clutched at his heart, glad Alex genuinely had fallen asleep and missed his confession, "I thought you only loved me."

"My darling, I'm so sorry. Forgive me, please."

"I do," he turned his grin to Kore and winked, "How you doin'?"

"She's a lesbian and you're not Joey, I'm Joey!"

"Now who's the jealous one?" Pietro was grinning and Alex couldn't stop herself from returning it. They looked at each other for a moment, until Kore coughed discreetly and Pietro turned to face her, "You like girls?

"Yeah."

"She used to have a crush on me."

"When we were children. And before I even knew what love was, it was just looking back that I realised." Kore got up and stretched, "Hi Wanda,"

Pietro turned to face his sister, who was as pale as the walls as she muttered a greeting back. He squeezed her hand gently before running to whisper in Alex's ear,

"I don't know how you did it but everyone in this group has something in common," he had to fight not to burst out with laughter, "And it's so fucking funny, you'd have a massive ego boost if I told you though."

Confident Alex wouldn't get what he was implying, Pietro ran back to Wanda and slung his arm around her shoulder.

"What was that about?" She whispered.

"Not only is no one in this group straight," he felt Wanda stiffen before forcing herself to take a deep breath, "but three of us have liked Alex at some point."

Kore and Alex began another conversation and Pietro just waited for Wanda to respond. He kissed her cheek, then her forehead. She didn't speak for a few minutes, voice trembling as she managed to say,

"I never liked Alex. She's just...confusing."

At least she hadn't denied being lesbian too or said something that Alex and Kore may have taken as offensive. That in itself was an improvement from a few months ago.

"What do you think of Kore then?"

"I don't know if we can trust her," Was all Wanda said, with a stiff shrug, but Pietro recognised the look in her eyes as she watched the other girls.

Longing.
