Warm wind was blowing the hair out of his face, making him close his eyes for a moment to really be in the moment.
"What you doing there? Got something in your eye?"
Dream stuck up from behind, wrapping his strong arms around him gently. His scent suddenly was all around him and he would have to lie if he said he didnt like it.
"Let me see."
Soft hands lifted his face and he was met with a beautiful display of mismatched eyes. George's beautiful mismatched eyes.
"Doesn't look like anything, does it hurt?"
"Nah, just being in the moment, my eyes are fine thanks dear."
A soft smile tugged on the corner of his mouth at the softness that both of them displayed towards him.
It was a warm summer evening in august and the three of them had decided to take a walk into the fields near their house. Neither of them had seen the sunlight in weeks due to streams and editing, so this was a very welcomed break.
The feeling of the warm wind in combination of the smell of hay and dirt brought him back to his childhood. To the easier part of it at least.
It felt so easy to breath out here, almost as of nothing could hold him back anymore. An antsy feeling settled in his feet and after turning around to grin at dream and George, sapnap started running.
Not because he needed but because he could. Something about running through a field till your lungs burned was therapeutic.
Behind him George screamed something but he couldn't hear it, too focused on the rush of emotions the moment brought with it.
"Gotcha."
His face hit the ground.
He tasted mud."Did you have to tackle me to the ground tho?"
Sap really tried to seem angry, but his words had no bite and an everlasting smile was prominent on his lips as he turned his head to look at dream next to him.
He couldn't be angry at that idiot, even if he really tried his hardest.
"Stop being lovely dovely, it makes me want to hurl."
George was standing over them, looking down with an raised eyebrow. Little London boy would never roll in mud, that proper boy.
Apparently dream and he shared a braincell, because while the blond tugged on George's foot, sap gave him a push.
With a loud thumb George also landed on his ass, looking a bit perplexed.
"You're gonna make my trousers dirty!"
"Those are pants.."
"Those aren't even yours but mine!"
They were indeed dreams but that seemed to be the least of George's concerns right now.
"Sweet boy is gonna pout now?"
It was heartwarming to see dreams real smile that he only carried when he was alone with them. The same went for George's little giggle that he did when he got really excited about something.
The knowledge of such little things just made this whole mess of a relationship ever so more special.
Yes relationship.
They didnt define what kind of relationship, but it was smth. And that was all that mattered. There was smth and it wasn't gonna change.
"Hey loverboy."
The brunettes voice snapped him out of his trail of thought and let him look over to his partner.
A delicate ring of flowers was placed on top of his head and he couldn't help but snort at the adorable gesture.
George really turned out to be a secret romantic just like he himself was. Dream on the other hand was the definition of dense.
You could read a poem to him and it would take him a day to get that it was about him or even meant to be romantic.
But that was just how dream was.
Silly, an airhead with a tooth gap and freckles all over his body. With golden locks and those emerald eyes that made all the worries dissapear. And they both adored dream the same way they adored each other.
As the sun started to set, the three of them huddled together on the front porch, a big blanket thrown lazily over their bodies.
It was peaceful and quiet. The long nights of worry and anxious feelings laying long in the past, not yet forgotten but being overshadowed by the amount of new and happy moments.
Was this how it was all gonna end? Was this is?
Maybe. Maybe not.
What the future brings will only be known by the stars.
And maybe fortune tellers.
Those people were scarily accurate sometimes...
Either way, it was a start to something new and unknown. To something scary and exciting.
"I want to freeze time. Can I always be this peaceful?"
George's voice was soft but without any trace of sadness.
"I don't know but I get what you mean Georgie."
"This is our era, bro."
"That sounds weird when you say it like that.."
Sap rolled his eyes at dreams comment and let his head rest on the taller boys shoulder.
"Kiss me bro."
"What did I get myself into.."
"Love. Unditional love on our own terms. And I promise that I won't let go."
The following three way pinky promise would seal their agreement. A silent agreement to never let go and to be there, even in hard times.
Sometimes you have to see the worst of a person to realize just how deep love is rooted. And once you got through the darkest times, sunlight will follow.
You have reached the end of 'Don't let go of me'//
I hope that no matter when, some day you will find your sunshine, may it be a person or just you yourself. Sometimes all it needs is a spark to trigger an inferno, keep on pushing through.
