Chapter 9

POV Jolie

In the main office, instead of being greeted by a blond bimbo, which I was strangely expecting, I was greeted by a more elderly lady. She gave me a honest, warm smile that met her pale blue eyes. She had soft white curls and laugh lines around her mouth and eyes.

" Hello Dear! Welcome to SunTown High school!" She began. I offered her my hand and smiled.

" Nice to meet you. I'm Jolie." She smiled.

" I'm Ms. Davids but you may call me Shirley! Everyone else does anyways!" She laughed. And I joined her. After getting my schedule I smiled and thanked her. I may have judged this place quicker then I should have.

Taking a look at my schedule, I learned I was to have math first. Eww. Using the map on the other side of the schedule paper, I found the room easily. I walked into the class and was expected to introduce myself.

Shrugging my bag off my shoulder into the empty chair I went up to the front. Clearing my throat I raised my eye brows and smiled.

" Hello everyone. I'm Jo. Nice too meet you. Just act like I'm not even new here, return to your lives and what not, it's totally cool. Don't be scared to come up to me either because I don't bite..."I paused. " hard." I winked at the class and received dashing smiles from most the guys, a few girls, and then the rest were sluts staring at me with daggers. They didn't classify as girls because I didn't like them. Yep. I sat down in my seat once more.

Math was disgusting but I forgot my pencil. I bit my lip looking at my neighbors. To my left was a hoe bag giving me a death glare and to my right was a guy with brown hair that fell over his face. It was hard to see his face considering he looked as if he were straining to keep from seeing me. Not to mention the fact he practically move his entire desk like a foot away from mine.

I debated for a second on who I would ask for the pencil from. I decided against the bimbo. Lightly tapping the guys hard shoulder he looked spooked. Looking at me my breath caught in my throat.

He looked familiar. Not quite the same yet extremely similar. He got... Handsomer? I mean he got stronger, matured... I sighed and looked at him again for a bit before talking. "Daxton."

It wasn't a question but more of a statement. Daxton of all people had to sit next to me, go to this school, and live is sun town. He looked shocked. He cleared his throat and began.

" You... Uh, look well." His deep voice said. His voice got deeper too? I wonder if his singing voice got any better. If you didn't already know, Daxton was my boyfriend a long time ago.

Long story short, he cheated. And dumped me. Yeah. " You do to." I replied simply. I ignored him for the rest of the class. What's strange is I expected myself to be full of resentment and anger if I ever saw him again. Currently at the moment I felt nothing. It's like nothing ever happened. Sure I felt butterflies but who doesn't when there near their ex. Class was over and the rest of the day went by smoothly. That was of course until lunch.

When lunch decided to drop by, my stomach growled appreciatively. I almost tripped running to the cafeteria but I didn't even care. Jeff was also running with me. He held the same appreciation for food as I did. I grabbed his hand and ran with him. He reminded me alot of Kim. Like a cute brother of mine.

" Thank God for food!" Jeff said. I shook my head as if to say yes. Partly because I agreed but mainly because my face was stuffed with food Jeff stuffed into my open mouth. I was currently chewing on a piece of bread.

I piled French fries, a veggie burger, a slice of extra chocolate cake and a fruit bowl. I walked with Jeff to the table. Sitting down, Lindsey gave me a dirty look. Hunter looked shocked at my food choice. Claire was too busy with Hank. I sat next to Jeff and Hunter. There was an empty seat Jeff saved next to him. Jeff kept saying someone " important was going to be sitting there" and that " I would love him."

" Got enough food on your plate there?" Said a deep voice. I groaned. Before I could come up with a smart remark , Jeff stood up and did that guy clap thingy with Daxton. Oh my.

" Jo! My main woman. Meet my main man. Dax!"

Jeff looked honestly happy to be introducing us and it was obvious he had no clue of our history.

" uhh. Jeff. We've already met. "

Everyone's eyes perked up looking shocked. All except Lindsay's. she stayed silent in her corner smirking to her silent joke.

Daxton began talking. " Jeff. Me and Jo have... History."

Jeff looked confused. " what do you mean? How can you have history when you don't even know -"

I interrupted them. " Dax here is my ex boyfriend. " by now, other tables were looking. Hunter looked shocked. Jeff looked broken. Claire and Hank both had their mouths on the ground. Lindsay was eerily quiet and Daxton gave me a pleading look.

Jeff POV.

She hurt him. She was the reason he became so distant? What did she do to him? Why had we never met her? Weren't we his best friends? Great friend he is? Wouldn't you agree! Jo looked sad and Dax gave her a pleading look. I wish I knew the whole story.

Hunter POV.

To say is was PISSED OFF. Would do no proper justice for the emotions I was feeling. While Lindsay kept quiet, Joe looked pained. Just by looking at Daxton I knew he was then one who broke things off with her. He still wanted her to be his. You could see it in the way he stared at her not bothering to turn away. I sighed running my fingers through my hair. Why did it bother me so much that he likes her?

Claire POV

Oh my...

Hank POV

Claire is beautiful. Wait - this situation is awwwwkward.-.

Lindsey POV

Well the cats out of the bag. Daxton looked hot. Like legit, I would take him there. I need to get my nails done. The pink is chopping off. Boo! I'm sad now. I looked over to little miss. Perf... Jo sat looking torn. Gooood. Honestly, she annoys me. Hunter has been looking at her instead of me and its obvious he digs her. Mean while he has a goddess right under his nose! Honestly? What is wrong with him. I'm perfect.

Daxton POV

I'm screwed.

Joe POV

I hate life.
