"Great, you knocked him out." Pickle sighed as Soap gradually pulled the shards from out Balloon's foot. "I'm only doing this because your forcing me to. I personally wouldn't do it but whatever." Soap wiped the blood with a cloth and kept going.
"How many times must I say it? We need him." Pickle rubbed in between his eyebrows and sat on the kitchen counter, watching them. "Whatever." Soaps huffed.

It was silent until Balloon broke the silence, "hng... Fan." Balloon whispered, has hand twitching.
Pickle stared at Fan who was in the dark corner of the lobby, watching them silently. "What?" Fan clenched his teeth. "Nothing." Pickled said harshly, it looked as if he had suddenly gained suspicion of him.
"I wasn't working with him if that's what your thinking. I wouldn't hurt TestTube." Fan pulled out his phone and begun texting someone, "TestTube's texting me just now actually. So cya." Fan waved in a weak annoyed way as he aborted the lobby.

-
Two days went by, two days and not a single person went missing.
Balloon woke up gasping, the nightmare rushing through his head. He lifted his back up from his mattress, noticing Baseball sitting on the other end of the bed with his back to Balloon, holding a newspaper in one foot.
"Ugh..." Balloon rubbed his eyes, taking a yawn then a cough.
"Well good afternoon." Baseball said, his voice scratchy and low, "We managed to get the... shards? Out your foot, your gonna have to be bed bound for a couple of days." He flicked through another page of the newspaper.
"Good riddance..." Baseball said deep within his throat.

"Where's Suitcase?" Balloon questioned, trying to feel his foot under the covers.
"She's in the lobby defending you, so is Paper."

Paper? Why would he care? Balloon rubbed his forehead. "Could you grab her for me? I need to apologise." Balloon watched as Baseball aggravatingly obliged and left the room, with the newspaper he held between his teeth. The door closed, and he just sat there waiting.
He chose to reflect on what had happened, and he made sure to go through all of it.

"I was so stupid. I knew I couldn't trust her ever since Season One.." Balloon hissed, pulling the covers back to see his bandaged foot, a slight red stain seen from within it. He sighed, putting it back down.
He laid his back down and closed his eyes, for some reason he was still tired.

The door slammed open and he yelped in surprise. "Balloon!" Suitcase yelled out, running towards him with tears in her eyes. Paper and Baseball near the door frame, leaving moments later with the door closed. Suitcase sat in front of him on the mattress.
"I was worried sick! What were you thinking!?" She yelled out, this time without the fear and relief; this time it was full of anger and annoyance.

"Suitcase I-..."

Suddenly Suitcase slapped him across the face with her foot. He yelped once again, rubbing his pulsing cheek, a flashback from OJ's angry face above him and the forest surrounding them suddenly coming back to him.

"YOU DON'T KNOW HOW SCARED I WAS! THE- THE FACT YOU WErEn't there was just..." Suitcase's rage strangely faded as she leaned forward, tears appearing from her eyes.
"You were... worried about me?" He raised one of his eyebrows slightly, with Suitcase sobbing.
"Why- wouldn't I be? I'm your friend aren't I? I felt so lonely. Even if it was just for one day." She wailed out, looking right into his eyes.

Balloon perked up, This affection he'd never felt before, and even though Suitcase is his only friend, he'd never seen her so worried about his safety.
"Gee... at least I'm here in one piece." Balloon rubbed his cheek one more time before putting it down.
"Why were you even working with her anyway!? I thought you were dead! I... What were you thinking, what could you possibly hope to gain!?"

Suitcase looked enraged, but yet so worried and full of grief.
"I... she told me..." Ballon tried his best to remember the deal, the agreement that costed around five people's lives.
"She made a deal that if I worked with her... she'd raise my reputation." Balloon went silent for a moment, before speaking up again,
"But that's when I realised no one would like me of no one was there. I- I guess I got lost as we continued."
He looked down at Suitcase, she looked dazed.
"Balloon- you didn't need to go through all of that just to be liked. You already are! Maybe not by everyone but your likability would grow as time goes on.
I should have checked up one you, and I should've been a better friend to make sure you were... okay."

Balloon watched in awe as Suitcase explained everything. "You already are a good friend Suitcase. True friends worry about each other, and I constantly worried about ending up hurting you. I guess... we should've been better to not only each other... but maybe ourselves?"

He shuddered, happy to let it out, but something was daring him not to bring up the Figure or the Recurring Dreams that appeared on a daily basis.

"What about... the dreams? Like how you said you had one before Tissues." Suitcase looked into Balloon's eyes, she looked interested on this case. As if she were a detective.
Balloon tried to make an excuse, in fear of worrying her (not like she already was).

"None, but I want to stay away from the others for a little while... not like they don't hate me already. I've practically ruined everything." He looked at the floor down the side of the bed, before looking back, "Y'know.. MePhone and all that."
Suitcase nodded, getting up, "I'll head to the lobby now, Paper can't take care of even himself."
And then she left, leaving Balloon who was to afraid to sleep.

-
A door opened and closed, Fan walked into the room, noticing TestTube not in her normal place. "Tube?" He spoke out. As he begun to grow perturbed he walked over to the bed and flicked the sheets up, not seeing her there.
"TestTube!?" He called out, ending up putting his phone down to walk out into the hallway, he asked some people down the hallway if they'd seen her.

No one had.

Paintbrush was the only one to give him advice, they said to check Marshmallow's and Apple's room. Fan sprinted to the room, "TUBE!?" He yelled as he swung open the door.
Marshmallow shrieked, as Apple, Lightbulb and TestTube eyed Fan.
"Hey Flop-Face!" LightBulb called out.

"What are you doing out of bed!?" Fan walked over to TestTube, she looked up at him, the bandages around where her mouth used to be caused Fan to Cringe.
"She used her phone to tell me she was bored, so we all begun playing a card game!" Lightbulb placed a card down on the floor, they were in fact playing a card game, "Take that Marsh-Marsh!"

"You scared the Paper Clips outa me..." Fan rubbed between his eyebrows. "Dang it Lightbulb, why me!?" Marshmallow picked up four cards from a pile and put it with the other six in her hand.
TestTube then placed a card down, before turning her head back to Fan and moving her hands in a weird way, is if she were trying to do sign.

"Okay well... you know where I am if you need me." Fan started to walk out, but being stopped as his hand was pulled back by TestTube.
She handed him her phone and it read;

'Could you grab something from the lab for me?'
