he had ditched you. again.

ron asked you out on a date and didn't even bother to show up. it wouldn't have mattered so much if it wasn't a monthly thing.

he went on a whole rant of how you changed his life, and you helped him see things in a better light. which lead to a surprise date he wanted to take you on. a small way he can show how much he loves you.

you both agreed that you'd wait outside the gryffindor entrance for him at 10:00 pm.

so why was it nearly 10:30 and still no sign. you've gotten more sympathy looks from gryffindors in that time than your whole life.

as you grew tired of standing around hopelessly, you made the decision to just go back to your dormitory and go to sleep.

but on your wait out, you saw both ron and hermione running towards you. their friendship never troubled you, but they sure have gotten a lot closer in the past few months. you knew that if ron wanted her, he wouldn't be with you, but it didn't stop your mind from wandering to places you didn't particularly like.

"hey. wait." ron panted in between words. "stop, please, don't leave yet." his eyes pleaded with you, begging for forgiveness.

hermione already smiled, waved, and slipped past quietly.

"okay," you said shortly. you wished for there to be more kindness in your voice but you just didn't have the patience. ron seemed shocked by your tone. he hurried to lock your arms together and move you towards the way he came.

"I am so sorry, love, I didn't mean for it to take so long but we couldn't find it and I wanted tonight to be perfect..." he was rambling. he either didn't notice your silence, or took it as a sign to continue explaining.

after some time of walking through the corridors at hogwarts he turned to a random wall and just stopped.

"what are we doing here," you asked while looking around.

he huffed, "I'm sure this was the right spot," he also started turning his head to look at other spots in the hall.

when I turned back there was large two large doors that were definitely not there before. "oh," you exclaimed, "this?"

ron turned back to where you pointed and his face lit up. "yes, thank you darling," he kissed your cheek before grabbing your hand and yanking you through the doors.

to your surprise it was like a private common room. warm from the fireplace, with several couches and chairs that looked heavenly, and various pictures lining the walls. at a closer inspection, you found they were mostly pictures of you and ron.

"merlin," you turned to him, "how'd you do that?"

"to be fair the room of requirements does a lot on its own," his shoulders shrugged. "but, hermione helped me with most of the pictures, thought it'd be more meaningful." at this point he started blushing, finally facing the sentiment that he had thought out and did. "don't ever wanna look at anyone but you, love."

"I didn't expect any this," you had hugged him. however the guilt clawed it's way to your brain. he was doing all of this while you sat and made assumptions. "I'm sorry," you confessed.

wide eyes, furrowed brows, and a frown flashed across his face, "for what?"

"I thought you ditched me, and when I saw you with hermione I thought that there was something that could possibly be happening between yo-"

"what no, I'm sorry." it was your turn to be confused. "I should've been on time, and I shouldn't cancel our plans so much to where that would be a rational thought."

"I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, though."

ron grabbed your face and kissed you, it was slow and filled with love. as if he was trying to pour his unending love into you.

"I don't think I can even think about anyone else when I'm with you," he looked into your eyes, unwilling to break contact. "my life will never be the same as before I had you in it. I wouldn't want that to be the case either."
