One year ago...

Jung Hoseok tries to distract himself from his group of friends. They insisted in getting together for his birthday and he couldn't say no. But now, after opening his presents which include a horrible sweater from Tae and Yoongi, a strawberry cake from the Namjin couple and a pepper spray courtesy of Jimin, he wants to leave.

- Hobi! Can you leave your cellphone aside for a moment? You're gonna miss the movie!

- Sorry! I was just... texting someone

- Uuuh, someone hot?

- Jimin, can you not? - Tae jokes - Let the rest of us have something!

They laugh and Jimin rolls his eyes. But Hobi doesn't smile. Because he knows. He knows why Jimin's like that. Why he has a new date every week.

- Oh please Tae, you already have Yoongi! Who else do you want?

Tae pretends to smile and punches Jimin lightly. And once more, Hobi knows exactly who else he wants. Trying to distract himself, he walks up to Jin. The older has the same poker face as always.

- Did you choose the movie this time, Hyung?

- No. Namjoon did.

- Oh...H-How are things between you two?

Jin shrugs and Namjoon enters the room with two bowls of popcorn. Hobi swallows hard seeing him. He struggles to keep the words in. Not wanting to tell Namjoon that his happiness is based on a lie. He has to keep the secret.

- Bro, you're gonna drop everything!

- Well, sorry! That's because Yoongi over here wouldn't wanna help! I had to bring it alone!

- My hands are not made for helping. They're made for...well, Tae knows

- Ugh, too much info

- Not sure you're the one to say that, Jiminie

- Not you too, Jin!

Yoongi sits between Tae and Jimin making this last one look away. And once more, the older of the three is too focused on trying to make Jimin mad with comments to notice what his boyfriend is doing. Tae smiles at his phone and saves it.

- Okay! All ready! Hobi, just come here! You're the only one missing!

- Yeah, c'mon! It's you and that's it! The whole happy group together!

Happy group? Hobi sighs and fake smiles sitting next to them. They don't know if it's the boring movie or the amount of drinks they have, but the six of them fall asleep. However, in the middle of the night, Hobi gets a phone call and gets up. He walks out to meet someone without knowing what that will turn into. And the next morning... Hobi's nowhere to be found.

- Are you sure he didn't go get food, Tae? Maybe he'll come back from the store soon!

- Food? We're in my house! Do you think Jin would allow us not to have a full fridge?

- His parents say he's not there since yesterday - Jin hangs up the phone and talks in a monotone voice - What do we do?

- I'll feel like an idiot if I call the police and he's just playing around

Taehyung checks his phone but the last messages he sent this morning have no answer. The one person he wants to be there helping them is not talking back to him. Really? He'll just ignore him now?

- Well, it's better to do that anyways. If he's joking with us we'll deal with it later.

- I support Namjoon. Let's do that

No matter how long they wait. No matter how many times they call the police asking for news. Nothing happens. He's nowhere to be found. They go back to their homes trying to deal with it. Maybe they should've been together that whole day. After all they're friends. Friends that hide everything from each other. And that won't stop for at least another year.

After all this time, the boys are still getting together every day. Whoever looks at them thinks they are perfect. And they're sure no one knows their secrets. But two people can only keep a secret if one of them is dead. And opposite to what they think, the lies might catch up with them any moment. And that's where the story really starts...
