Jin enjoyed most of his day hanging out with Jackson after they left the hospital. But now it's getting late, his brother left a few hours before and he's all alone again. When his phone makes a sound, he thinks it must be one of his friends. Or hopefully Namjoon. He didn't expect JH would have anything else against him.

You left my game too fast! Since you're free I'll give you something to do during your time off! You think you can handle it on your own this time?

JH

Not even a minute later, ten more texts from different people get to his phone. All of those that make his paperwork for every subject cancel their deal. No matter how much he pays them, they leave Jin to do it all on his own. Tired, he throws himself on the bed. He knows he'll have to go pick up his things from all those people's houses tomorrow. His grades will go down and his parents will be a pain in the ass. All things we would've liked to avoid.

He enters the group chat he, Jimin and his brother have and tells them what happened. Jimin insists in having a video call so they can distract him at least for a bit. Jin doesn't really like those much but wouldn't mind having a small talk with them avoiding the whole JH problem. The three people call can pretty much be taken as a five people one. Since next to Jimin, Yoongi joins him while he helps him eat that horrible hospital food. And Taehyung doesn't show who's next to him but he's clearly driving with someone by his side.

They try to have a normal conversation but truth is he can feel the tension between the other two. Jimin avoids Yoongi's eyes and talks to Jin almost ignoring Tae is there. Meanwhile, his brother is half focused on the road, half looking to the side every few seconds only to smile like an idiot. At least Jin can see Tae is finally having some time to relax with someone. And he's pretty sure he knows who that someone is.

When the call ends he stares at the ceiling. He wonders who's behind all this. Is it one of those who was doing his homework before? Maybe someone Jimin dated? Or that Tae mistreated? By those standards almost everyone is a suspect. He's not really the best one to find new clues. But he knows who could help him. He haven't talked to him since they slept on that couch but...who knows?

- J-Jin! I never expected you were gonna call me...is everything okay?

- Yes.

- So...wha-

- Actually, it's not.

-...You want me to go there?

- No. It's too late. I just...Can I ask you something?

- Anything, baby

- Do you think someone would hate me because I pay them to do my homework?

- Oh...Do I have to be honest?

- Obviously.

- ...Then yes. D-Don't get me wrong! I never hated you for that! But...you are a little...umm demanding?

- I don't understand.

- Look, I never cared much but... When others do your things you immediately complain about what we did wrong. And sometimes what we did took a lot of work!

- Of course I complain. I pay them to do it right

- Yes, but...sometimes it feels like you're using us. Like we're an employee but not a person, you know? It's a little frustrating.

- I am using them. That's the whole point isn't it?

-...How do I say it?...Oh! You know how the other night you said you don't understand subtle things?

- Yes

- Well, you're not subtle yourself. If you would say "Hey, this part is wrong. Can you fix it?" Is one thing. But you really go off when something is not correct

- And that's...bad?

- You sound like your parents when you do that.

That's enough to make him realize it's definitely wrong. He never cared much about his parents. Yes, they annoy him a lot and tries his best to keep them happy so they aren't so unbearable. But he's never affected by them. However, growing up next to Taehyung let him see how much their words can hurt. His little brother never took his parents "hard love" the right way. And he can't blame him for it. To know he was doing the same to others makes him play with his fingers

- Jin?...I'm sorry if I went too far or something, I-

- How do I fix it?

- ... Apologize? It really wasn't that bad for me! But...maybe that's because I had the biggest crush on you since day one hahaha But yeah! You can just say "sorry"!

- Joonie... I'm sorry

The silence on the other side of the line makes Jin think that's where the phone call should end. Without an answer he hangs up and goes to sleep after texting all those people the same words. Meanwhile, back in his house and with his phone in his hand, Namjoon tries to process it. He still can't believe many of Jin's flaws were simply things he couldn't understand himself. And to know his ex called him and asked him for help to understand the logic behind it was also shocking. Maybe Seokjin was trying his best to understand the world around him. And nothing can stop Namjoon to try his best to understand his ex in return. All he needs is to have a chance.
