For a few days, Taehyung got no more texts. He was scared to death not knowing who was in the basement was gonna piss JH off. His secret is in the hands of someone else and he has no choice but to do what he's told. The moment he receives a text in the middle of the night, his heart stops. Slowly, he takes the phone from his nightstand and after counting to three to calm down, he reads it.

You know what can cover up your secret? A lie! Tonight, let everyone know Jimin slept with the whole basketball team! A secret or a friend...your choice

JH

Taehyung would love to throw the damn phone against the wall. He knows many of the basketball team players have girlfriends or boyfriends. Hell, Yoongi is part of them! He stares at the ceiling for at least an hour trying to convince himself not to do it. Jimin is his best friend in the world he shouldn't do anything that hurt him. He can't. He...

The next morning, he didn't have a single minute of sleep. Guilt is eating him up inside. As soon as he sets foot in the college, he can hear the whispers, the rumors, the comments. He hopes his best friend is ignoring them as always. That he's not sad or tired or angry or anything at all. But sadly, that's not the case. When he sees Jimin, he can tell the boy is having the shittiest day. And for some reason his hair looks weird

- H-Hi Jiminie! How's-

- Before you ask, it's coffee. One of the girls threw it at my face thinking I slept with Mark. And yes, that's the third time this happens today.

- R-Right... Jiminie I swear I-

- Don't. I know you didn't say anything. I don't know why they're saying you started the rumour but don't worry, Tae! I trust you with my life!

The tired smile on Jimin's face makes Taehyung want to cry. That boy never ever left his side and he just made his day worst just to save his own ass. He can't help to hug him tight, trying his best not to fall apart. He needs to keep his secret. Not only because people knowing he was with Jungkook sounds embarrassing but because he needs to stay with Yoongi. His parents love the adorable Min, they insist he's a perfect boyfriend for him. And what's he gonna do? Argue with them?

During the whole day, every student gets closer to them at least once to know if that's true. Taehyung finds himself even more frustrated when he hears his friend shrugs off the rumors not arguing with anyone. At the same time, the members of the basketball team seem to have a different reaction

- Oh, yeah, I totally slept with that cutie

- Look, I know I'm dating Sunmi but...it was a one night thing. You couldn't say no!

For Taehyung none of this had sense. He never cared much about Jimin's privacy and he was sure he slept with many people but...people who weren't single doesn't sound his style.

- I don't understand...Jiminie why are they lying?

- Tae! How do you know they lie?! - his friend smiles - You don't believe them?

- No, of course not!

- ...Thank you Tae. You know me better than anyone...Hey, I was thinking in asking Yugyeom to let me trace the number again

- But Yoongi said-

- I know...but this is getting out of hand and there's nothing wrong with re-checking right?

Taehyung doesn't mind. He lets Jimin go his way to look for that nerd and even though he would love to follow him, he knows Jungkook could be near. And it's already hard for him to go to the same college. It's even worst to be in the same room as the younger. His heart goes crazy everytime he sees him. And how can it not? They have too many memories together.

After that night in the basement, the boys tried to pretend like nothing happened. Yet, not even a week later they were kissing in Kook's house again. That basement became their secret place. He memorized Jungkook's body, the way his lips felt, the strange feeling in his stomach everytime they met. And now, he should learn a way to forget it. Because he's doing all he can to keep those old days behind. But that might not be that easy...
