Yang's Nickname

It was a typical day at Beacon. You and your girlfriend Yang decided to go on a little date on campus. You both went to the gym together and competed on some of the machines., you both took a jog together, and once you were both worn out you decided to go refresh yourselves at the cafeteria. You both got your food and sat down at a table together.

Yang: Hey, y/n? 

y/n: Yeah?

Yang: I realized something.

y/n: What?

Yang: You never came up with a nickname for me.

y/n: Oh you're right I didn't. I haven't really ever thought about it.

Yang: Well have you got any ideas?

You began to think for a moment.

y/n: How about... I call you... "beautiful"?

Yang: Oh, come on you can do better than that.

y/n: Ok. How about... "babe"?

Yang: Come on don't copy me. I know you can come up with something good.

y/n: Oh, how about "sweetheart"?

Yang looked at you with a serious look and crossed her arms.

Yang: We're gonna have problems if you start calling me that.

You started to think again but couldn't come up with anything. 

y/n: I'm sorry I can't think of anything.

Yang then grabbed both your hands and held them in front of her as she turned her body to face you. She then pulled your body to face her too. 

Yang: Babe, look. I know you haven't had that much of a childhood but that's part of why I want to do these kinds of things with you. So that you can have a bit more fun in your life. If you're having trouble then just look at me and think of how you would describe me. Use that to come up with a nickname.

You did as Yang said and looked at her face. She really was beautiful. You thought of her to be like an angel. Then you came up with what to call her. 

y/n: How about I call you "angelface".

Yang: That's nice. How'd you come up with it? 

y/n: Because you look like an angel to me.

Yang blushed and smiled at you. 

Yang: Then it's perfect. 

You both then heard Ruby near the both of you.

Ruby: I think it's really sweet.

You both turned to face Ruby.

Yang: Ruby, what are you doing here?

Ruby: Just coming to check on my sister and her boyfriend. Also I honestly just like seeing you two being flirty with each other. Anyways mind if I eat with you guys? Weiss is too busy studying and Blake's obsessed with reading that ninja book of her.

You began to chuckle.

y/n: *Chuckling* I can't believe she still reads that.

Yang: I always have time for my baby sister. You don't mind do you y/n?

y/n: Not at all. I know how important your sister is to you.

Ruby: Alright then. 

Ruby sat down next to Yang. 

Ruby: You know? Maybe we should all have another Ninja Fighters 2 tournament to see how we've all improved. 

Yang: You're on!

y/n: Sounds good.

Ruby: I'll beat you this time Yang Xiao Long!

Yang: We'll see about that!

Yang then grabbed Ruby and began rubbing her fist into her head playfully as the two sisters began to roughhouse with each other. You honestly envied them a little. Seeing them get along so well as sisters made you remember your brother Adam and how you abandoned him. It made you very upset so you looked down sadly.

Yang: Babe? What's wrong?

You looked up to Yang and Ruby who were looking at you worried. 

y/n: I just... I'm thinking about my brother. I wish I could have been a good brother to him. Like how you're such a good sister.

Yang grabbed your face and rested her forehead on yours. 

Yang: y/n. I know that you feel guilty and how much you regretted leaving him. But I see the kind of guy you are every day. You're looking for him every day and you work hard to be a good member of our team. You are a good brother. And an even better boyfriend. 

Yang winked at you and you smiled as you looked into her eyes. 

Yang: There's that handsome smile I love.

y/n: How can I not smile with an angel like you?

Yang giggled.

Yang: I really am starting to like that nickname.

Yang then pulled you into a kiss. But your kiss was interrupted as you heard a camera go off.

You and Yang both looked at Ruby and saw she had her scroll out as she was standing up and began to text with it. 

Ruby: I'm sending this to my friends at Signal. 

Yang: Ruby! No!

Ruby then ran off trying to send the photo of you and Yang kissing each other to her friends as Yang chassed her through the cafeteria. You simply watched as the two sisters ran around chasing each other and chuckled at how funny your thought it was. You and your brother didn't have a perfect relationship either but you knew it was best to still care about him despite the things he had done. 

*I decided to show a little bit of sisterly interaction this time between Yang and Ruby. I felt like they honestly didn't get nearly enough interaction like this in the show. Sure they had their moments but I really would have liked to see them interact more as sisters. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed it. Thanks for all your support!*
