Karma and Andre sat on her grandmother's Rosie's couch as they watched soap operas. Since the incident with her mother she'd been out of the way and avoiding conversation. Only person she would really talk to was Andre and Eric.

"Y'all want some tea ?" Rosie asked as they both shook their heads

"No ma'am." The siblings said as Karma got up and grabbed the nearest picture album

She flipped through it and stopped once she seen a picture of her , Tyree and Andre. She smiled before she showed it to Andre.

"Damn we was young as fuck." He said as she laughed. "All Tyree did was follow you around."

"You wonder how different life would be if Tyree was still here ?" She asked him as he looked at her

"Yeah , I think about it all the time. Maybe if he was here Ma wouldn't have been dealing with that fuck nigga." Andre said shaking his head

"Tyree was just a baby. Shit he was my baby." Karma said with a laugh as Andre agreed

"You know Tyree looked at y'all like super hero's ?" Rosie said as she walked into the living room. "Every day he always wanted to be up under y'all."

"Tyree was always at K house any chance he get." Andre said as they all laughed

"Yes every time I came to pick him up it's always , Can I spend the night ? You busy ? Can I come over big sister ?" Karma said with a laugh

"Verna called me earlier. I was so upset with her." Rosie said shaking her head. "Y'all never told me what happened at this dinner."

"She called us over saying she wanted to have a dinner. Even told us to bring the guys. I should've known some shit was up when she told me to not dress like myself." Karma said as Andre shook his head. "But we walk in he was there and she made us sat down even though we wanted to leave. Then he started going off about how I dress , That Tyree's dead and that Andre out here acting like a thug."

"What Verna say when he said all of that ?"

"We beat his ass first." Andre said with a shrug as Karma smirked

"I threw the drink , Dre came with the punches and then I jumped in. She tried to jump in and save him." Karma said with a laugh. "She told us we were crazy and that was her husband again and if we couldn't accept it then whatever."

"Y'all ain't talk since then ?" Verna asked as she looked at Karma

"Nope I don't want to and don't feel the need to. You chose a man that left you with three kids for a young bitch. How could you just expect him again with open arms." Karma said with annoyance in her voice

"Y'all don't need to , I understand why your so upset." Rosie said shaking her head. "If she didn't tell y'all I want you to know I'm very proud of y'all."
