Chapter 15

Luke's POV

Last night was amazing. Not only was prom good but after was better, I brought her to this special beach kind of place I used to go to when I was depressed and being bullied at school. Anyway last night I lost my virginity and it was amazing, I won't go into detail because it is gross to explain. I love Dani, and we leave in two days for world tour. I'm really excited and having Dani come with us will make it even better. I finally open my eyes to see Dani in my arms peacefully sleeping. I grabbed my phone, careful not to wake her and saw I had three text messages.
From Michael: got lucky?😉
From Ashton: asked out amy and she said yes! Get lucky with Dan?
From Calum: Michael picked us up, so I assume you got lucky?
Damn, these boys know when someone gets lucky don't they? I reply to their messages and turn off my phone. Just then dani turns to face me and her eyes flutter open.
"Morning babe, I love you." She says to me while snuggling closer into me. I squeeze her tight and say back,
"I love you too, and last night was amazing," I whisper and feel her nodd.
"Are you naked?" She asks me with humor in her eyes.
"Yep and so are you," I say and we start to giggle.
"How did you find this place Lucas?" She asks and looks around.
"I ran away from home one time and went into the woods, I ran away because I was bullied and depressed. My parents didn't understand my passion for music and my brothers both left for collage. So I collected my thoughts here and went back home. I would still come here if I was depressed and I came here to write music and sing." I explain and she hugs me really tight.
"It's beautiful, just like you and your story." She says and kisses my jaw. I sigh of happiness and put my face in her neck and we lay like this for a while. She grabs her phone and turns it on.
"The girls keep asking me if we got lucky and Amy said her and Ashton are dating now." She giggled. It felt weird when she giggled because it vibrated through her neck. I look at her for a few minuets and she looks at me too.
"Why are you staring at me?" She says while smiling slightly.
"Because you're beautiful," I say and kiss her passionately. We pull away and she smiles.
"Luke, I don't think I have ever loved some one as much as I love you." I don't think I've ever smiled bigger than right now..
"You took the words right out of my mouth, but we should probably get dressed." I say and we stand up. I put on my suit and when I turn around she was already dressed and was putting her hair in a bun. When she is done she grabs her shoes and my hand.
"Want to go to that local dinner? It's already 11." I ask her as we make our way to the car.
"Yeah, I'm starving." She says. When we get in the car Good Charlotte starts playing and we scream the lyrics. We get to the diner in about ten minuets. We were getting weird stares of course, I mean we are in prom attire. We get seated in the very back right.
"I'll have the pancakes with bacon please," Dani says and hands our waiter the menu.
"Uh, same," I say and give her my menu as well.
"I'm so excited for your tour! I can't wait to write with you and just be with you."
"I know, me too! I just can't believe it! And being with you makes it all worth while," I say and she pecks my lips. Then the waitress puts the food on our table and hands me a napkin, I look at her and she winks at me. She walks away and I open the napkin.
"What is it?" Dani asks while giggling.
"It's her number," I say with a disgusted look on my face. I mean yeah that girl was pretty but she is nothing compared to my Dani. She cracks up laughing and so do I.
Her eyes go wide and she stops laughing immediately. She is looking right behind me.
"Babe, are you okay? What are you looking at?" I say and she looks back at me.
"No, I'm not okay. Th-that is my sister." She stutters and I look behind me. There is a girl around 20 sitting with a guy around 20 but the resemblance between Dani and that girl is non-existent. They look nothing alike, like at all. She never told me she had a sister though, she should have told me.
"You never told me you had a sister," I say trying not to get upset.
"Yeah, because she ran away with that guy when they were 16. We were really close she was disappointed when I became the school punching bag. My parents always loved her more but she would always talk about him. The worst part is I never got a goodbye." She says and let's a tear slip. I wipe it away with my thumb and she she looks at me.
"Everyone I love either leaves me, or hates me." She says and I come and sit next to her.
"Babe, I love you and I will never leave you." I say and she snuggles into me.
"Thank you," she says and kisses my cheek. She sits up and leans her head on my shoulder.
"Daniel!? Is that you!?" Oh no, oh no, oh no. Her sister is coming over hear. Dani starts to shake under my grip, I refuse to let her go.
"Dani?" she whispers while her and her boyfriend walk up.
"Kelly, yes it is me." She says, "this is my boyfriend Luke," she adds and I put out my hand for her to shake. She takes it and smiles.
"I'm Kelly and this is my husband Josh," he smiles and takes my hand as well. Dani scuffs and rolls her eyes. Kelly has a look of sadness in her eyes.
"May I sit down?" She asks.
"I guess so," Dani says and keeps her head on my chest and my arms around her waist.
Kelly and Josh sit down.
"How long have you two been dating?" She asks kindly.
"About a year now," I say and smile down at Dani. I take a sip of water and she aks
"Did you take her virvinity?" I cough on my water and Dani sits up.
"Where the hell do you get off!? You're so selfish! You leave me with nothing but abusive parents and shitty friends who make me do stuff and then those friends abandoned me! Just like you! But you left with no goodbye! And now you're asking my boyfriend if we've had sex yet?! Why the hell do you deserve to know you bitch!?" Dani yells in her face. Wow I did not think that would happen.
"Let's go babe, she's not worth our time." Dani says and pulls my wrist so we are both on our feet.
"Oh and by the way, we did have sex and yes it was my first time but it was his too," she says and we walk out the door.
"The nerve she has!" She screams while throwing her hands in the air from frustration.
Just then Kelly walks out and towards us.
"Please, Dani I'm so sorry let me explain everything to you. Luke I'm sorry for putting you on the spot but would you both come in so I can explain everything." She asks and I look at Dani. She looks at me with a questioning look and I nod.
"Fine," she says and walks back in. I follow after her and sit down. A few seconds later Kelly comes in.
"Okay, start up the confessions." Dani says and grabs my hand. I squeeze it and Kelly starts.
"Okay, me and josh had dated since 8th grade and we always wanted to run away but I never wanted to leave you behind, but when the abusing started and your friends abandoned you I knew I had to leave. I just wasn't supposed to be there anymore. So we left four years ago. It was hard, we moved to England and got jobs, we then got married when I was 18. I'm so sorry Dani but I just had to get away from it all. Are they still abusive?" She says.
"Well they would be if they were alive." Dani says and I kiss her temple.
"Wait what? What do you mean?" She says with a shocked look on her face.
"They died at the beginning of the year from a car crash." She says and Kelly still has the shocked expression on her face.
"Um ok, so what has been going on in your life lately?" She asks and gives me a look.
"Let's see, I've been bullied since you left until a couple weeks ago when Luke beat up Jason because he pushed me to the ground and I hit my head. That was right after I became friends with Michael, Calum, and Ashton. So they got into a fight with Jason's gang and now everyone in school is afraid of us. I got my lip peirced and lost my virginity last night." She says and smiles. "Oh and in two days I'm going on world tour with Luke and his band called five seconds of summer which include Ashton, Michael, and Calum." She adds and gives me a proud look. Kelly has a mad/sad look on her face.
"No, no you can't go on that tour. I'm you legal guardian and I forbid you. You have only been dating for a year and you're going on a world tour with him?! Absolutely not! You're the only family I have left and I'm your guardian so no." She yells a little.
"Are you fucking kidding me? You think I'm going to listen to you? YOU abandoned ME! And no you're not my guardian because you aren't a citizen here anymore and the judge just said you died, but I knew what happened. And hell yeah I'm going on tour with him, I love him and he loves me. So don't even think about contacting me ever again." Dani said staying calm surprisingly. She got up and walked out.
"I gotta go. It was nice to meet you Josh," I say and get up. When I walk outside I see Dani with her head down in the car. I run and get in.
"Are you okay?" I ask and take her hand. She looks up, her eyes puffy and make up running down her face.
"I love you Luke," she says and throws herself in my arms. I rub her back gently as she cries. She sits up and looks at me. She is even beautiful when she is crying too.
" I love you too," I say and she nods. I take out my phone and text the guys.
Dani's upset guys, got a way to make her feel better?
They reply saying it's already in action. This is why they are my best friends.
"Don't ever leave me," I say and she looks at me astounded.
"Okay, I won't." She says and grabs my hand. On the way home I cheer her up a little but not enough to make her the usual her. We walk in the door and
"Surprise!!!!!" They yell. By they I mean Ashton, Calum, Michael, Amy, and Jessica. I look around and there is a sign that they made. It says
" We love you guys! We'll never leave each other!" They threw confetti at us and Dani smiled. I laughed and she looked at me. You did this? She mouthed, I nodded and she kissed me. I could feel her smile into the kiss. We pull away and she runs into the group of people. They group hug her and I run upstairs and grab my guitar and change. When I get back downstairs the Amy and Jessica are on the couch and the guys ran to the garage. I assume Dani is changing too. I walk into the garage and see them getting out the instruments. Ash sits on his drum box, and we take our seats on the stools with our instruments.
"You can come in now!" Michael yells and you hear 3 pairs of feet run down the hall. Just then she runs in with black socks, a black t-shirt, black shorts and her hair down.
"What's going on?" She says walking up to me. I grab her hands and hold them in mine.
"We wrote you a song and I want you to hear it," I say and she smiles.
"Go sit down," I say, she runs to the couch.
"This song is called, Long Way Home." I say and start the song. When we finish she is crying and she runs up and hugs us. She kisses me and tells me she loves me.
"Thank you, I love you baby." She says and kisses me again.
"I love you and you're welcome but we just wrote what we felt. One second," I say and put Blink-182 album in and it starts to play I miss you. I grab her and we start slow dancing. Everyone gets up and joins us and Michael goes to make a sandwich.
"This is our song," I whisper in her ear.
"Yeah? I like that, it's the first song we ever slow danced to." She giggles. The song ends and Michael walks in and says.
"Kelly's here," he whispers. Amy and Jessica's faces are confused but the boys faces and me and Dani's faces drop. Oh no.
